Of which stuff? If you're talking about pdfs -- no, it's thousands. As far as Fantasy Grounds, just look at the books that have been published. It's the same.

Yeah I mean, I don't know what kinda stuff is available. Right now all I know I want stuff for 3.5e because I think I'm going to play it eventually. But there are probably some cool adventures I'd like. I'll look through fantasy grounds and get back to you.

Well, that didn't last long.

Against my better judgement, I made an account at EN World (woke TTRPG forum) to engage with a few topics that interested me and I lasted exactly one day before getting permanently IP-banned.

The reason for my banning: I had a Maga avatar and put a laugh emoji on a moderators post.

These faggots literally cannot be more fragile.

So This weekend I had my Halloween event. It went really well. 15min for a night/day worked out. I only fudged it twice. Once cause we were fighting a mini boss and didn't wanna break momentum. And once cause qw were doing an alchemy puzzle and I didn't want to interrupt the communal thought process.

Few fun items I handed out too.

A scythe from the scarecrow miniboss that gives encounter power of fear.

A grnning laughing jack-o-lantern shield.

And a breastplate of ceow feathers that gives daily featherfall and gust of wind.
They instantly called it fart cloak...

Oh and the goblins they played were gifted to them as small ivory idols to summon them back as followers daily

Encounter fear? Is that different from fear? Is it still a wis save, 30 ft cone, and the chance to hit your allies?

A grnning laughing jack-o-lantern shield.

Is that the one we already talked about? Did the players mention the inconvenience of the random cackles?

Cloak or armor?

Cloak or armor?
And I have answers! 4e categorizes abilities by at-will, encounter, daily. Encounter just means "per fight". Daily is once a day. And at-will is when ever you want as many uses as you want.

As for random cackling. I made it to only cackle when it absorbs fire damage. Cause that's one less thing I need to remember, cause my players won't ever.

We've all been playing dnd for 5-20years.
And I still every single session get asked "what die so I roll? Is this the d20?"

As for the fart cloak. Its chest armor lol. But one of their heads they envisioned it as a cloak lol

They added Scions of Elemental Evil as a new free one-shot type adventure that ties into the legacy of T1-4 in a fun way. It also includes pregen characters of the sat AM cartoon series (Ranger, Barbarian, Magician, Thief, Cavalier and Acrobat) including their overpowered weapons. They also added a 7th character (Cleric) because there were no divine casters in the original series...

Is that seriously printed in the book?
Yes.

Being a rabid collector, I buy every book WotC releases, but I refused to buy this trash and The Radiant Citadel anthology.

5 or 6 books that I have purchased don't have a single useful page in them but the two aforementioned couldn't clear my low collector's bar.

Wow. Yeah I've tried using some of the new 5e books for some ideas or source material. And omg it's like it was written by a child. Who's also I giant baby.

Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson invent an entire new genre of game and now fifty years later the criticism is how white it was.

Is typically considered the first miniatures game and Wells was a honkey. Coincidence? These genres showed up pale and stale.

Been running a new campaign using the reworked 5e Temple of Elemental Evil as a 50th anniversary of D&D thing as well as the first time I've GM'd actual by-the-book D&D in literally decades using the 2024 rules. Its interesting how, in many ways T1 holds up nearly 5 decades later, but in other ways its very much a product of gaming in harsh Wisconsin winters of the pre-internet age.

As a result I've had to make a few tweaks to the adventure in order to provide actual motivation, but also factor in players who 1) DONT automatically check every surface for secret doors / traps but 2) DO try and role play / talk to all the 'bad guys' rather than just charging in murder-hobo-style.
