Wes Welker making visit to Miami Dolphins - ESPN

The Miami Dolphins are hosting free-agent receiver Wes Welker for a visit on Wednesday, according to a team source.

Welker began his career with the Dolphins in 2004. However, Miami traded Welker to the AFC East rival New England Patriots in 2007. It was one of the worst mistakes the Dolphins have made in the past decade.

Welker haunted the Dolphins over and over, as he helped the Patriots extend their dominance in the AFC East and had big games against his former team.

The five-time Pro Bowl selection had five seasons with at least 100 receptions in his time with the New England Patriots and had a single-season career best with 10 touchdowns with the Denver Broncos in 2013.

It's interesting that Miami would express interest in Welker, who will turn 34 in May, at this stage of his career. He is clearly slowing down as a player...

Troy Polamalu's clock to Canton can start now. The definitive Pittsburgh Steeler of the team's recent titles told the Herald-Standard (Uniontown, Pennsylvania) that he has decided to retire.

"I did not seriously consider playing elsewhere," Polamalu said in a phone interview with Jim Wexell. "It was just whether or not I wanted to play."

"whether or not I wanted to play", get real the team was like gtfo on your terms or ours, its over. Also, probably not a lot of teams willing to pony up much and likely not as a starter if so.

He hasn't been fully there for a few years now. Good to see him go out when he decided, and not because he forced the team to do something drastic, like cut him. And yeah, he'll have a bust in Canton. I wonder if they'll give his hair the full bronze treatment.

From what I understand it isn't about further punishment but it is used to help "treat" the offender along with giving an idea of if they will continue to commit the same crime. Essentially a lie detector test for your penis where instead of just asking you if you will do it again they show you the inappropriate material that got you there in the first place to judge your "wellness".

I Google New's deflategate. Every story is some Boston affiliate or Boston blog. No one else cares. It's funny, I'm not sure if it's only covered there because it's about you or because you're all bracing for the minor slap on the wrist for your shenanigans most know in your heart you committed.
