So that you can have Mariota to DGB! The dream is real!A fourth rounder for dropping seven spots. Not the worst thing ever.

I get this with Mariota, he's coming out of a spread hurry up system where he made one read most of the time and threw to wide open guys running against cautious zones because teams didn't want to get ran out of the stadium. But Winston? He made a ton of pro-level throws, he's a pocket passer, and everything I've read basically said he's the surest thing since Manning from a tools/charisma standpoint, he's just a knucklehead. He's not an all-time great prospect like Luck was, but other than that why else would he be the clear and obvious #1 pick despite rape allegations and his obvious immaturity? If Winston wasn't a dumbass possible rapist he'd be a slam dunk. He basically ran a pro offense in college, made a ton of anticipatory throws, has an MLB pitcher caliber arm, and despite seeming like a dumbfuck he's apparently very strong on the board from a football IQ standpoint.Am I crazy or do I think Mariota and Winston both have bust written all over them? I see some upsides to both of them don't get me wrong, but I do not see them surviving in the NFL as they did not show a lot of NFL-caliber talent in college. They both played outstanding COLLEGE ball, but things like reading the defense, in-game adjustments, etc are almost non-existent in their college games. Physically, they both are great, just the mental and analytics are not there to be a great NFL QB.
I agree that Winston is substantially better than Mariota in terms of NFL-ready (with a more pro-style system in college), but he seems somewhat lazy and I don't see him taking game-tape, practices, workarounds seriously. Maybe things have changed since the regular season though and he needed to improve those things to get drafted.I get this with Mariota, he's coming out of a spread hurry up system where he made one read most of the time and threw to wide open guys running against cautious zones because teams didn't want to get ran out of the stadium. SAAIIIIIIIIIIIINTS. Makes me wish Cathan was around. Some of these teams really seem to be reaching in this round.
That family is like a city treasure, it is kinda funny. They are very active in Louisville sports (from what I understand and have saw, that family is always at pretty much ANY Louisville sports game whether it be women's b-ball, to baseball, etc). Doesn't surprise me she said stuff like that.Devante Parker's mom to Miami Herald on cle: "They don't have a team, really, or a quarterback. I knew I didn't want the Cleveland Browns.''
Damn.
DGB played as a true Freshman and Soph at Mizzou. His Soph year he led the SEC in receiving TDs, tied with Senior Mike Evans, and ahead of names like Odell Beckham, Sammie Coates, Amari Cooper, etc.Trying to rationalize the DGB pick despite having never played in a college and a ton of off the field issues. Seems like a transcendent athlete but I'd feel a lot better about it if there was some production.
Lol, the kicker is going to make the franchise QB injure his arm/shoulder on the first day of mini-camp.
I know he played, I don't remember him leading the SEC in TDs. Dunno how I missed that. And those comparisons don't work, because he ran a 4.5 flat and Megatron/Moss were both 6'4+, Calvin ran a 4.35 and Moss a sub 4.3. We'll see.DGB played as a true Freshman and Soph at Mizzou. DGB had more raw talent than any WR in this draft. From apurely athleticstandout he's Calvin Johbson or Randy Moss. But he's a crazy immature headcase who takes no personal responsibility for anything.
Fucking LOL'd.
Weren't his broad jump, hand size, and vertical jump completely mediocre? I remember hearing guys vertical jump sucked compared to other receivers that were shorter than himDGB played as a true Freshman and Soph at Mizzou. Replace Mariota with RG3. Its good to see you've come around.I get this with Mariota, he's coming out of a spread hurry up system where he made one read most of the time and threw to wide open guys running against cautious zones because teams didn't want to get ran out of the stadium.
