Fair point in there. I don't notice the commercials because I rarely watch games live. Generally start them up after an hour or so and watch them delayed so I can skip the commercials. Regardless of that, which I agree with you, the action in a NFL game fits me better than say hockey or Soccer.
There may be more "action" as in players moving around but there is very little results from that action with those sports. Hey different strokes for different folks. Just drives me nuts to put on a hockey game and have no one score for 2 periods. I'll usually check the box score to see if it was even worth watching the periods in question. I will admit its gotten better than it was in the 90's though where game scores were lower on average. In addition, having so many games cheapens the value of the games until you get closer to the playoffs. Just not my thing.

Chip's smoothies aren't doing a good job of keeping people healthy over there. I really hope everything just flames out, even to the point of them ending up 4th in the division. I know that means Washington wouldn't be this year's cellar dweller, but some change is good and Chip needs a reality check to make him realize he's in Philadelphia.

well grimm gotta remember most people under the age of 35 really do not know who frank is/was, kathy lee was - more recently- the more famous of the two.
granted frank is "the Giant" and did mnf for ages, but if you are "younger" you barely saw any of him beyond MNF- from 1971 thru 1997 he was on MNF.
so pretty much anyone born after 1985 - MOST LIKELY- never even heard of him-or barely had heard of him, while kathy lee was doing the morning show up through what about 10 years ago or so.

He was before my time when he was a player but a lot of people don't realize how good of a player he was. One of the first (if not the first) multi-purpose players. Also one of the few people who can say they played under both Landry and Lombardi.
Before my time too, i was 5 when he started MNF (i am 49)
one more day to go - HOPEFULLY- brady vs the nfl.. rumors have the sides not even close to settling though. what is funny is most people think he got suspended because of the balls. he didn't. he got suspended for impeding the investigation and noncooperation.... after he was told he wasn't going to get punished for not cooperating more than he did.
