At the heart of the dispute between former Jets LB IK Enemkpali and quarterback Geno Smith is $600 that Enemkpali believed Smith owed him, per league sources. Enemkpali purchased a plane ticket for Smith to attend his July 11 football camp at Pfugerville High School in Pfugerville [sic], Texas. However, days before the camp, a person close to Smith was killed in a motorcycle accident in Miami and Smith did not attend Enemkpali's camp, per sources. After Smith did not attend, Enemkpali demanded that the Jets' quarterback refund him the $600 he allegedly used to purchase a plane ticket. Smith told Enemkpali he would reimburse him the money, but he did not. Enkempali confronted Smith today about the money and the confrontation ended in a punch and broken jaw.

I mean, you would think Geno Smith could come up with $600 pretty easily, but no reason shit should have to end in punching the starting QB.

Well Chirs Carter I think it was reported that Geno was jabbing his fingers right in the LB's face so depending on the specifics of that Geno must might of deserved exactly what he got.
Regardless its a fucking side show and I'm sure Rex is thanking God he got shit canned from the Jets.

Shit man, finger in the face? He better have been calling his mother something. Over $600 you probably could just go public with to the rest of the team and they'd pressure Geno to make it right, I can't imagine it's worth taking a shot at the starting QB and losing your job...possibly your career along with it.

Edit- also, he could have cost Geno his future job as well. Only so many chances and they are sure to get a 1st round QB this year if anyone looks solid. For me, it just makes Geno look bad. You seriously are willing to go this far over $600? Not the eventual outcome but willing to get in an argument with another player over it? Leadership? Guy has none.

I'm a Skins fan man, the only thing that has me on the fence is that Cousins would seem likely to throw 3 picks in any game he enters, while McCoy might end up with 3 new concussions.

I was listening to Ike Taylor on Dave Dameshek's podcast last week and he said that fistfights in the locker room are a regular if not daily occurrence. He even said that because fights on the practice field always get broken up, if you have a real beef you save it for the locker room where you can really go at it. It's just bad luck to pick the quarterback who also has a glass jaw.
