Is he going in as a 49er or a cowboy? I think he played longer as a niner, but had more success as a cowboy, and is in the Ring of Honor.

I'm guessing 49er since that's where he began and ended his career.
Well I would prefer it be as a Cowboy but I don't really care to be honest with ya.

I don't think he particularly deserves it, but judging him by numbers isn't how it's going to happen. You'll get a big narrative about how he's the best blocking WR of all time, changed the game even without the ball etc etc.

All that plus 7th or 8th in career receptions when he retired and like I said, media darling and Steelers player. He'll get in eventually. Probably. The inflated receiver numbers that he mostly missed out on might bite him in the ass.
He's also a top five dirtiest player of all time.

Sounds like Bears will release Brandon Marshall prior to March 13th deadline for guaranteeing his money. He's thirty years old. Wonder how much is left in the tank.
id say no thanks on marshall. hes such a one trick pony and he feels like a quitter. he also doesnt even run routes, just runs downfield

cant do anything but y axis, id take anyone over him

Farewell JFF, you fucking colossal disappointment. As an Aggie I tried to back you but we all knew where this story was going.

So on to the Draft...I really want the Skins to focus on the O line and get some good young guys in the next few drafts. Our D has so many holes though just don't have enough picks to realistically fill all (or even most) of the gaps.

Bengals draft:

DE, DT, OT, DE, DE, LB, WR

Maybe it'll be all DE's.

It will take three years of drafts. If this was a college program they wouldn't have a single blue chipper on the team. Your future core is Morris and Kerrigan; maybe Trent Williams. That's it. RG3 is a mess and you have a lot of veterans on the wrong side of 30. When your core consists of an overvalued position and a guy that only stands out because of the lack of talent around him you have years to go. This is Raiders and Jaguars level of futility.

I'm not sure why Redskins fans are all over Morris's nuts. Sure, he had a great rookie year, but he doesn't really impress me that much. And really, I attribute his rookie year more to Shanahan bringing in the ZBS since he's taken dozens of shitty backs and made them into 1000 yard rushers.

I think the only player you can build the team around is Kerrigan. Everyone else can get fucked for all I care. Even Trent Williams I feel is overrated.

There's certainly some good players on the team, like Desean Jackson, but why keep them when your QB is such a fucking mess? It's not like the team is 2-3 years from a Super Bowl. They're 2-3 years from being the Bengals.

Agree. Morris is a building block not a franchise player. From a team building perspective what I am saying is you at least have the RB position set and can create a reliable running game. That "should" help QB development (whoever that may be). I also agree on Trent. I watch their games and man he gets beat and gets penalized way too much. Guys like Desean and Pierre are on the downside of their peak. 3 drafts from becoming respectable.

I disagree on Williams, a big problem for him I think is he gets nagging injuries quite a bit that he'll gut through, but they affect his play. Dude is Pro Bowl caliber when healthy though. Kerrigan is someone you can build around, but even he isn't an ELITE pass rusher, just very good. He's good in other areas too though which makes him so solid. He's also the anti-Orakpo when it comes to staying healthy.

As far as offense goes, Morris is good, but he could have been a product of the system (and the threat of RG3's legs) much more than people realize. Also by the time we'd be decent again he's going to have mileage on him. I don't mind our current receiving core at all, QB is what is holding a lot of them back. Jordan Reed would be a great pass catcher at TE for us if he could stay healthy too.

All in all, yeah...I agree with 3 drafts. But we'd have to hit a lot. Possible sleepers on D in Keenan Robinson and Breeland, but otherwise can pretty much replace everyone.
