My cousin was in the OSU marching band and got bags of urine thrown at her from Penn State fans while waiting to exit the tunnel at their stadium. We can just agree nothing good comes out of Pennsylvania.
I would say cheese steaks...but those shits were overrated! They were literally just putting fuckin cheese wiz on a bad steak bomb. Fuck Philly.

Steve Smith says this is his last season. Should I just book my flight to the bay area now for best prices?

Hall of Fame Game generates big TV ratings | ProFootballTalk

The HOF game yesterday got higher ratings than game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals
Hockey, like soccer, MLB or NASCAR for me, is impossible to watch on TV. Lots of back and forth, very little in the way of exciting things going on and completely boring with the occasional "holy shit they <Insert scored, wrecked etc>"

When I can DVR your sport, skip more than 2/3'rds of it and miss virtually nothing, you've lost me.

Sounds like you got roped into a tourism spot. Cheese wiz on a steak is terrible.

So you don't watch football either then?
Big difference when your team plays 16 games vs 85 or 162 with great portions of those games being scoreless and or meaningless until it gets closer to crunch time. In addition to that NFL games, even if scoreless (which is pretty rare in this era to have a huge defensive show down), have more going on in them with more variety of action and especially consequences.

I'm not saying there aren't good games in the NHL or MLB. There are. They just feel more like an exception to me which is why I'm not a big fan of those sports.

Heres A Pie Chart Of How Little Actual Football There Is In A Televised NFL Game

Last I checked all 60 minutes of the NHL clock the puck is in play, and despite how much I hate to defend the NBA same for basketball. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love football, but there is LITERALLY 11-12 minutes of action per game. I guess that's probably why I prefer to see NHL games live and watch NFL games on TV and that's without factoring in ticket prices.

They were just dousing her with the best part of Joe Pa since the 80s. It's a remembrance of his greatness...

I find in world cup years where I watch a ton of soccer during the summer, when the NFL is back it feels way more like "holy fuck all these commercials!!!" Its really insane how much downtime there is in football but we're conditioned not to notice it that way. Maybe its short attention span American attuned, always a change in focus rather than the ongoing back and forth of a soccer or hockey game. They really manage to pump those ads down our throats though.

I'm mostly in agreement on NASCAR or watching MLB on TV at home.
