Because last year, like August, FDA passed some fucked up regulations surrounding vaping. Citing "think of the children" type bullshit while they were all probably handsomely paid off by big tobacco so they could push their gas station blue e-cigs. Mom and pop shops like the one you go to could nto afford the testing of everyone of their products. I know myself, I bought a ton of shit from fasstech and my ejuice supplier last year to prepare. But things really just stayed the same, I dont think FDA is cracking down yet.

Ya I remember the regulations and our stores had signs up plastered all over the window but I thought it was earlier on than that like summer/early fall. These guys buying crates of supplies seemed like preppers and if I remember correctly was the week of the election. I saw one of the sites selling pg/vg mixtures in 5 gallons haha. I guess if it ever goes to hell I could order a bunch of coil kits ( 20 prewound Kanger wires for $5 each for RBA ) and a 5 galloner with a massive variety pack of flavors.

VG has a shelf life, if im not mistaken. I know the shit I get has an expiration date.

But I dont think they were going after the ingredients themselves, I mean WTF? Are they gonna ban the sale and regulate VG? Or strawberry food flavoring? It was always about the mom and pop shops making their own unregulated juices. And the shit should be somewhat regulated. I dont want some asshat mixing the shit up in his dirty bathtub, you know? But at the same time, they went to extremes too. FDA shoud regulate the process, not the product. As long as you have a clean regulated system of mixing, I dont see the problem.

The over the top regulations on mods and tanks did not make sense either. You have to have every new product go through thorough inspection at the cost of $500K and probably waiting period of a few years? Its a fucking tank with a coil. As long as that shit is safe and does not explode in your face (non regulated mech mods) its the same shit but a different design. Regulate the sale to minors, outlaw the shitty mech mods, which plebs dont seem to know how to use, and youre golden.

This just had the smell of big tobacco all over it. Since the homegrown juice and e-cig industry basically cut their profits in 1/2 in this country, Im betting.

Welp Ecigdirect is about as far away from me as possible and still be in the US so I'm guessing shipping may be a bit slower but I placed the order at midnight and it was out the door by noon so that was pretty snappy.

You can throw PGA and VG in the freezer. You can buy both in some Kmarts, Walgreens and health food stores it's used in a ton of ways. The big crack down was supposed to be flavorings and nicotine. Flavorings are all legit for candy making and baking etc, so I think that law was a bust. Nicotine was the way they may still lock it down. Suppliers were gonna circumvent sales laws by giving out 'chemistry samples' and charging S&H to cover cost. You can freeze nicotine, and people like Nude Nicotine give you a few options for packaging and additives for super long self life in a freezer. People have been hoarding it by the gallon. A gallon of 100mg nicotine is probably enough for decades.

All this stuff was supposed to be phased in over the next couple yrs. My B&M said only things that have kicked in so far are they cannot build or install coils in devices and they needed a license and certified facilities to make juice. I saw a bunch of CA juice labs running adds saying they would mix for companies who couldn't afford the certs to keep them afloat til they could get legal.

Apparently there is some Bill they are trying to get passed that is Pro Vape and unfucks a bunch of stuff that is coming soon.

Ya I looked at a bunch of stuff on this over time and again yesterday for hours before saying fuck it, just getting the mixes. Nicotine is super dangerous stuff. The idea of buying concentrated nicotine and having to wear lab gear anytime I wanted to mix up my own juice was a bit much. To do so without those protections is asking for a disaster. I can see how they would have a case to protect against Billy wanting to buy a gallon of it at the same time big tobacco doesn't care if Billy spills it over him but instead wants control for money money money.

Concentrated nicotine is basically ant poison. 100mg stuff could get you sick for a while if it a decent amount soaked into your skin unnoticed. I think its only lethal to pets kids and faggots. They sell it in weaker dilutions. 50, 30, 20 mgs which is exponentially safer to handle. It is just less cost effective to DIY if the have to use more nic base to make a bottle at your target strength. And more math. But honestly nic isn't that spendy and DIY is coming in at 1/20 the price. Commercial Juice companies are making insane margins.


Maybe I should be more fearful of nicotine but I bathe in carcinogens daily and handle base chemicals that Tim McVay would envy. A good pair of quality disposable gloves and I no scurred.

Yeah i dont wear gloves or any protection what so ever with the 100mg stuff. I mean just dont be a fucking fool. I pour the stuff into a glass ramiken (sp?) and then use the kids meds syringe to suck up however much i need. Stuff left over i pour back into bottle, cap it then rinse the bottle and my hands and off to the freeze it goes. Ive been doing this shit for 3 yrs. Its not worth buying any other than the high conc stuff. A 250ml bottle lasts me a year. And it costs like $40? And i mix the 20mg stuff, not the 3mg or 6mg like people like to puff on in the sub ohm shit. Which would last you twice as long.

My package for Ecig is out for Delivery. I ordered at midnight Wednesday I think it was and chose the cheapest shipping and it was as far as you could get and be in the lower 48. Not bad.

Ya I placed it on Wednesday night when I posted here. I had shipping/tracking at 1pm the next day. Usually that doesn't mean much as it isn't picked up for a few more days but it was on it's way and tracking out of city by 6pm. Glad I choose Ecigdirect now. I am at 1/4 tank of juice and out.

Whooohoo it came along with 24 Refreshers and 29lbs of Beyond cat food. I'm set for the month.
The flavor I bought( flavour art banana ) I got 50ml of and it says on bottle start with 1%. So I may do far less than the 7% I was initially planning. Just realized I have no syringe so here we go with death pours after all. See you bitches in the afterlife!

I had 3 boxes of DIY stuff sitting on the counter all week, but didnt dive into till yesterday. I bought 70/30 base and 50mg Nic from Nude Nicotine. And 25 different flavors from Wizard Labs. I mixed 3 shake-n-vape recipes from e-Liquid Calculator . And then I made 3 more complex mixes that need to park a week or so. The shake and vapes I have been hitting all morning, they are pretty damn good. So I made 60 ml batches of each and adjusted them a hair. They are as good as anything I have bought pre-made.

I bought my nic from Nude Nicotine because someone on a recipe forum did a big survey where they sent out juice samples to members to do a Pepsi challenge and NN came in as the cleanest tasting. I have to concur it's completely flavorless, it also seems like it has a better 'bump' to it. It gives me that just smoked a cigarette feeling, I think most retail liquid is skimping on their dosage of the medicine. Very satisfied with my investment in DIY.

I had put in another order for the premix stuff and some banana split. Stuff in the shops were never banana enough for me but I way overbought the banana the first time. Now I have about 600ml of stuff made up and I've only used 50ml since getting the first order. It's nuts because in the end I've spent the same as I would have spent normally, but I am at a 12x surplus. I should last until near October! Still debating wire and maybe some new batteries. Sitting at home I've been cycling 3 batteries a day and they are Samsung 25R SDI but they seem to be getting less and less lasting and hotter. So worried about ordering batteries online though so many fakes. Who the hell fakes batteries, I don't know but it is a big issue it seems. I have enough cotton to be accused of slave trading but only a few coil wires made up. Can't decide if I want to just order the new OCC vertical wrap coils( new version is out mucho cottono ) or just go back to RBA. RBA never seemed to last more than 3-4 days though before leak and uggg cat ass.

I bought 3 different sweeteners from NN, I am putting in 1 drop per 10ml. It doesnt make it sugary, but gives the fruit flavors more 'pop'.

I went to buy wire at a B&M, I was gonna get more Kanthal A1, but the kids said try Nichrome80 instead, because its flavorless, and Kanthal has a 'sucking on pennies flavor' I thought he was pulling my leg, but it was legit advice. I now have 3 rolls of fancy Kanthal I will never use.

Also I am running NXJO batteries. 2 places told me thats top tier atm. I have had no problems. 2 in a box last me 8 hrs running a cloudbeast tank. or 12+ hrs running a dripper. My new single batt Evic eats a battery every 8 hrs dripping.

welp, I made 6 recipes and let them steep a few days. only 1 was was lackluster, the trick now is messing with the sweeteners to find the goldilocks zone .
That guy Wayne from DIY or DIE has some legit recipes.

I ordered a heated ultrasonic cleaner to speed steep. People are using temp and agitation to speed up steeping, but I am curious why no one is using pressure. I may try to find a whipped cream bottle and try pressuring with N2O

Bought a Smoant BattleStar Box on a flash sale dirt cheap from China. Forgot all about it. It showed up Sat. Super small form factor for a 2 Batt. Its solid, very hefty in the hand. Reads ohms much better than both my Evics and has 50% of batt life left after 14 hrs (firing at 32-35 watts, .4 ohms). Found a youtube video of a nut job completely disassembling one and bench testing it with meters and oscilloscopes, he raved about quality vs. price point. US vendors sell em for about $40.

I really like my Pharaoh Dripper , so I bought the Tank version.

And it would intermittently Dry Hit like a motherfucker, I was pulling my hair out, 90% of the time it was great, and out of nowhere it would fuck up. I took me 3 tries at coiling and 8x re-wicking till I cracked the code. 1/3 the amount of cotton you would usually use and soak the wick and wiggle it around when you are stuffing it in so all the capillary action is primed up.

Now its almost the best of both worlds, decent Dripper flavor with a Tank wrapped around it, way less hassle. It is super thirsty , eats juice faster than a Cloudbeast, which is a hog. Max Nix, tho. DIYing and I give no fucks about how fast I go thru sauce.

I'm not sure but somehow I missed your post, or part of it about sweeteners. I didn't realize they even had that until this week. Anyways I ordered some with this order. The first order I did was 12mg nicotine 70/30 premix and it lasted 28 days for 250ml. The 2nd order I did was 18mg nicotine 70/30 250ml. It has lasted 45 days and still about 50ml left. So that bit extra nic went much longer. This time I got the nic mix a big bottle of sweetener ( sale ) and a big strawberry/banana. So now I have coconut, banana, strawberry/banana, sweetener, pina colada and candy corn to mix into something.

I think I am going to do the 1 drop per 10ml(6 drops) as you said but it is from Flavor West. 4ml pina colada, 3ml strawberry/banana and 1ml coconut and about 50ml mix and see how that does.
Then I'll try 6ml candy corn and 6 drops sweetener in the other.
I wish I had got some cream, custard or bread flavoring now.

I used up all the wire I had and precoiled RBA replacements. Found a guy on ebay selling SSOOC v2 kanger coils for $12 shipped for 5. Ordered on a Saturday got them Monday so when I break it down now for juice and flavors and coils it is costing me about $25 a month now. That is less than I was spending per week at a store. Still need to work on some new batteries though. Buying shit is hard when you haven't worked in a year.
