Uh, how about keeping those discussions all in one place and not spread out across 5 different threads? That's the whole point here, not derailing 5 random game threads with arbitrary game development talk. Instead put them into a thread where it's all discussed.

There is a differecce between passion and flat out stupidity and trolling. You have stated an opinion that one game mechanic you liked was FD pulling. That's good. But to label the entirety of game mechanics in EQ being above and beyond anything that we have seen come out since? Call someone a liar that never lied about the first area in AION because she didn't read what he wrote? And of course the last post. That's a troll. And it seems to have worked on you a bit if you are defending that.
I think everyone is welcome to their viewpoints. But Lisa Boelyn here is being a tad ridiculous. I found her more fun to read when she was blogging about Halo Artstyles. Which was... about as bad as having to sit through a chick flick with my fiance because I owed her one when she watched Red Dawn with me.

I think I heard that in 3 hours they crashed the registration servers 23 times and were able to make 4 characters before detonating the SAN.
Back in the oven for 7 more years.

Let's hope they can allow people who buy their game to register their CD Key to their account first. Ha.
I am guessing the next Beta test will be another character creation/account creation test. This game is so absolutely hosed.
If Zenimax had any sense whatsoever they would shit-can this project, dismantle Zenimax Online, dismantle Battcry Studios and kick Rich Vogel and his buddies to the curb, and dedicate all resources to more Elder Scrolls games/content with Bethesda. Which if they announced they did and put an announcement up combined with a preorder tag for "5 years of elder scrolls content", without knowing what it was I would pay $1,000 just as a thank you for the dismantling of these two horrible side companies.

Oh, you're one of THOSE guys. Now I'm starting to understand your hate for Firor a little more. Let's be real - ES games are fun, but they aren't the be all/end all of single player RPG. Especially since they've been more and more dumbed down to accommodate console kids in certain respects. Sure, it helped them get some massive sales, but in some ways they are less sandboxy than the old ones like Arena and Daggerfall and Morrowind. Don't get me wrong, I think I have close to 200 hours in Skyrim, but I think a lot of that is just because there aren't a lot of good RPG's released anymore. I think I put 50 or more hours into "Legend of Grimrock" and that thing was almost free.
