Do they still make chewy runts? I can't find them anywhere around here nowadays. This rustles my jimmies.Szechuan chicken, but I tried a bit of everyone else's food, so some sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and sesame shrimp. I wouldn't be surprised if it was all just frozen and reheated shit that every other Chinese place uses. It's all bullshit.
I was so disappointed that I stopped by Walgreen's on the way home and bought a box of Runts, which I've just finished. Now I'm going to take a long nap.
It's easy at home when I have all the time in the world to order / wait. That sounds like it's really easy to do.
Chinese food is the most perplexing when it comes to chain vs. local spots. My favorite "Chinese" restaurant is probably PF Chang's...
I can't find them anywhere, either, and it also rustles my jimmies. That said, you can easily buy them in bulk online if you really want them.Do they still make chewy runts? I can't find them anywhere around here nowadays. This rustles my jimmies.
Gotta go to the bowling alley and bring $5 in quarters and a paper sack. Quarter machines from 2002 have chewy runts. Depending on how old the bowling alley is.I can't find them anywhere, either, and it also rustles my jimmies. That said, you can easily buy them in bulk online if you really want them.
The best way to tell whether or not a chinese food place is of any quality, is by counting the number of neon signs in it's windows. Also, if you walk in and see menu items posted on the register in large cellphone quality photos with prices on them, you're probably going to get some sub par food.Chinese places are either really good, or really terrible. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground. The best one here in CT is in the middle of fucking nowhere in backwoods country surrounded by gun toting rednecks and redneck stores like tractor supply. Best damn crab rangoon goin'.
In my experience, even online review sites are worthless. For example, I'm quite familiar with Laurel, MD, and I've been to several of the places in your link. For example, Tampico Grill has 4 stars, but it's a complete and utter piece of shit. Last time I was there some of the food was cold and I saw the manager just digging tortilla chips out of a drawer with his bare hands and putting them into baskets for tables immediately after handling money from customers. Pasta Plus is insanely overrated, and despite having a line out the door every night I've never eaten anything there that tasted better than Olive Garden down the road. Also, I'm pretty sure Mango's Grill is just a front for some kind of cartel.McCheese what city do you live in?
Also going to random places is for plebs. Look at places like:
Laurel, MD Restaurants: See 150 restaurants with 1,107 reviews - TripAdvisor
and find highly rated restaurants. I use yelp and tripadvisor on my phone and usually it serves me well for finding good local places. I don't even trust what locals say about good places to eat anymore. Using those web services is much more accurate.
Their mongolian beef and egg rolls for the win. That sounds like it's really easy to do.

For local spots, it's easy to tell the good ones from bad; just check for dog and cat collars in the dumpster.Chinese food is the most perplexing when it comes to chain vs. local spots. My favorite "Chinese" restaurant is probably PF Chang's...
All these restaurants you listed have very Orange County chain names. Pasta Plus? WTF?In my experience, even online review sites are worthless. *Edit* I just looked up the Chinese place we went to and it was extremely highly rated, with people saying "Best food/restaurant/atmosphere/blah blah blah". bull. shit. The fact is, these 'Mom and Pop' places are rarely actually better than big chains; rather, people fool themselves into thinking they're better. For example, every 'Mom and Pop' Italian place I've been to trucks in the same fucking frozen tiramisu from some massive factory, and buys frozen ravioli and other stuffed pastas, which is identical to what places such as Olive Garden and Carabbas do.
