Jet's Pizza is the business. I don't know when they added crust flavor options but the turbo crust is my jam. I know this is the FFT but their salads are also damn good. I get the special where you get a large 1 topping pizza + large salad for like $19 or something. Their greek salad is great.

jet's has been rocking turbo crust for at least 11 years.

the 8 corner is the shit but its unreasonably priced compared to the regular large, usually.... unless they happen to have a special or a sweet coupon.

protip -- usually salami isn't listed in their options for pizza toppings, but some jet's locations will slice their salami up into quarters and put it on there for you. so damn good.

Never heard of Jet's, but apparently there is one in Ft. Lauderdale. I'll try it out.

Make sure to get the deep dish. You haven't really tried out Jets until you've experienced their crust.

Jet's deep dish is basicallyDetroit style pizza, for those that are unaware that Detroit even has a style

the square cast iron pans that square deep dish was first cooked in were originally excess parts trays from factories that were unneeded after WW2 production died down.

traditionally Detroit style pizza has the sauce on top of the cheese and toppings, tho, but most chain pizzerias put the sauce below the cheese.... so not quite pure Detroit style, but damn close.

in reading about Detroit-style pizza, i was reminded of a pizza chain that i used to hit up regularly when i lived in a different city.

anyone dig Cottage Inn pizza? their thing was always having really good and interesting toppings. its been probably 7 years since i ate there, but i have some very fond memories. was always them or Jet's when i was living in Mt. Pleasant.

Now that sounds really interesting. Report your findings sir!
I'll reevaluate later - but first impression doesn't excite me. I did make myself an amazing batch of chili for dinner not long ago though, so I might need to reevaluate at a fairer time. Seems like they might be good, but the flavor is subtle compared to what I'd expect.

I tried the NY Reuben Lays a while back and even though it was really amazing how much they really tasted like a reuben, I don't want to have them again.

Call me crazy but 90% of the time I buy chips they're plain. The other 10% they're sour cream and cheddar. I wish they'd spend more time thinking up delicious dips rather than crazy, off the wall knock offs. The idea of flavoring a chip makes sense. The idea of trying to make a potato chip taste like a different, existing food is just bonkers! Wacky chip execs!

The ruffles sour cream and cheddar are my favorite chips of all time. The Lay's regular sour cream and cheddar chips just aren't as good to me. Not sure if it's taste or texture.

can't remember the last time i bought potato chips. might have been back when the cheesy garlic bread lays first hit. corn chips are where its at. both are certainly still junk food, but corn is a whole lot better for you than potato.

could just be me justifying my monthly dorito binge, tho.
