I think the baked lays sour cream and cheddar are vastly superior to the traditional ones. The ruffles sour cream and cheddar are my favorite chips of all time. The Lay's regular sour cream and cheddar chips just aren't as good to me. Not sure if it's taste or texture.
Hrmmm.....both are certainly still junk food, but corn is a whole lot better for you than potato.
I like sour cream, but Salt and Vinegar are unappreciated. They might be the underdog King of ChipsSour cream, two words that don't belong together in my mouth. Disgusting shit.
Salt and Vinegar, now we're talking. I need to put together an Amazon order of strange chips and candy. Couldn't find those wasabi funyons unfortunately.
As a fellow supertaster it seems - I've got to call down some wrath for the denial of the quality of Salt & Vinegar chips. S&V chips are among the best chips. (Although I will say "All Dressed" Ruffles were better - but S&V was a part of that profile so....)I'll keep my opinion of salt and vinegar to myself, God knows all the pussies will get up in arms over it
I can get behind this. But you're missing BBQ chips which are always welcome as well. May favorite chip of all time is probably Grippo's, but we don't get them out here in CA.Call me crazy but 90% of the time I buy chips they're plain. The other 10% they're sour cream and cheddar. I wish they'd spend more time thinking up delicious dips rather than crazy, off the wall knock offs. The idea of flavoring a chip makes sense. The idea of trying to make a potato chip taste like a different, existing food is just bonkers! Wacky chip execs!
I think I actually agree with you here, but I used to not eat a lot of shit I now enjoy and I haven't had salt and vinegar chips since I was a kid so maybe my opinion on them has changed.I'll keep my opinion of salt and vinegar to myself, God knows all the pussies will get up in arms over it
I find myself buying jalapeno flavored kettle chips most often. Some brands are hotter than others. I tend to buy the hottest I can find because I can eat a few and get satisfied without eating an entire bag of garbage.Call me crazy but 90% of the time I buy chips they're plain. The other 10% they're sour cream and cheddar. I wish they'd spend more time thinking up delicious dips rather than crazy, off the wall knock offs. The idea of flavoring a chip makes sense. Yeah, I was questioning this too, is it really? I know corn chips have waaay more calories than potato chips.Hrmmm.....
I find the Kettle brand more sweet than hot. I could sit down and slam the entire bag in one sitting. I find the Deep River the best ones at my grocery store. After a little while it becomes uncomfortable to eat more so thats a good stopping point. So far the Kettle Brand jalapeno chips are my favorite for a spicy/hot chip. I'm not a travelled chip man though.
more overall calories, but potatoes are pretty much the definition of empty calories. those corn calories have a way better nutritional load behind them.Yeah, I was questioning this too, is it really? I know corn chips have waaay more calories than potato chips.
