I posted frequently about the sonic that opened up a few months ago across the street from me, it's still pandemonium there. STILL a police detail.

I've been 4 or so times and each time they've given me someone else's order. It's weird because they give you a little card holder with your number on it and the number matches your receipt.. yet they fuck it up continually.

I am honestly not sure how people can really compare Sonic to 5 Guys. They aren't even in the same league.

Sonic burgers just seem really dry to me. Dry buns, and the meat seems bit dry too. I guess if you like that, ok, but the last thing you can say about 5 Guys is that they're dry. Usually it's more like "fuck, this is going to drip everywhere" and that's really your fault for adding every topping they have. Scale it back a notch and it's a really solid greasy cheeseburger.

every once in awhile i grab a bag of the Taco flavored ones, for variety, but i can't binge on them like i can on the original flavor.

i can eat an entire "Party Size" bag of the original flavor ones in one sitting. and i'm not that big of a guy.

the old 'Tacos At Midnight" version of the taco flavored ones was a lot better than the current taco flavored doritos...

In general, the Doritos flavor ranking is like this:

Original Nacho Cheese >>>>> Spicy Nacho >>>> Taco >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cool Ranch >>>>>>>> All Others

I wasn't even a fan of the Taco ones until I got a couple garbage bags of them a few years ago and was forced to eat them. They kind of grew on me, but like pharmakos said, I still can't devour them in massive quantities like I can with the Original Nacho Cheese.

I don't know why, but it feels like an East Coast/New England sort've thing. All we really had locally was the trinity of Wendy's/Burger King/McDonald's for the longest time, so when things like Arby's and 5 Guys and Sonic pop up its usually presented as the holy grail by the people that go there just because it's different. Same shit happened with Popeye's too, though that's probably the one time the hype was understandable. That's some good chicken.

Meanwhile the one local Tim Horton's gets bought out and turned into a Dunkin because nobody around here can handle coffee unless its DD or Starbucks.

Naturally i tried the Szechuan chicken and went for the brazilian picanha, since you know olympics.

China wins this rounds. The picanha has this weird tang i do not like. The Szechuan chicken actually has flavlor, then you'll be hit with a hint of spicey, so far out of all the whack ass new lays flvors this is my second fav, my first would be the sririacha.

Ok well I can tell you they are better than all those other flavors probably tied with nacho cheese.


Since they are hard to get here in US and only available to Asian travelers I'll mention these too.

Don't know what it is about Smith's/Kroger but any of the stores out here I have been to, all the employees look like mutants/rejects that no other grocery store wanted to hire.
