To really amp up the In 'N' Out experience you have to dive into their "secret" menu to make the burgers and fries even better. Animal style fries or burgers would be part of this, although there are many other options.

I order my bun extra toast (well done), mustard grilled (they spread mustard on the burger while it's on the fryer) and add pickles to the burger, then get the fries well done of course.

There are many other options as well. Just google it and enjoy!

Many pizza places around Chicago will put Italian beef on pizza, so that's another meat.

In-N-Out has so many secret items. I didn't find out about the chopped hot peppers until two years ago. It's a requirement any more. I love In-N-Out, and there's one about a mile from my home, but I like reserving it for road trips. It feels like the only time fast food is appropriate.

Secret menus are the stupidest fucking invention to ever hit fast food. They exist solely to make the greasy, basement dwelling neckbeards who order off it feel superior to the plebians on the rare occasions they crawl out of their WoW-caves.

If it's a dish and you serve it, it should be on the fucking menu.

2x4, extra toast, mustard grilled, whole grilled onion, chopped hot peppers, tomatoes on the side, well done fries.

Amazing!

With as quick as they rock out those burgers, I can't imagine it's much different than throwing on some mustard after the fact, but by saying mustard grilled, it comes with pickles as well by default.
