Read my post again. I never said Domino's tastes like mom and pop pizza. I said that mom and pop places taste the same. There's a big difference between Pizza Hut and Dominos, and there is a big difference between those and mom and pop places. However, if you get three pizzas from three random mom and pop places, they'll taste pretty much identical (assuming same style, as obviously a deep dish is going to be different from a New York style).
I have two in my town that are the exact same style and taste miles apart.

One might be retarded though because his calzone was literally a pizza flipped on its second half. Depressing

Lol you still are? I think if I were a super taster I'd be hyper-sensitive to the taste of different pizzas, so I'd think all mom and pop pizzas tasted differently. If anything, I'm the opposite of a super taster. Whatever that is. An under-taster?
Stupid-taster I believe is the correct term.

I disagree McCheese. I've had a lot of pizzas that are just pure cheese with bland sauce. No thanks.

Also, nothing better than burning the roof of your mouth with a pie fresh out of the oven!

Also, people who call pizzas "pies" are idiots. The same as people who call soda "pop".

But it is called a pizza pie, man! This isn't even some hipster shit. It's like...the normal word isn't it?

There is a reason for that.

Exactly. That's the crux of my whole argument. The vast majority of mom and pop places aren't making 100% of their pizzas from scratch. They're buying various ingredients, whether that be cheese, sauce, dough, or seasoning mixes from wholesalers and using them to build their pizzas. As a result, you'll find a ton of similarity in taste between mom and pop places. There might be the odd mom and pop place that literally makes their own sauce, own dough, and blends their own spice mix with their own cheese, but those are insanely rare.

Also, notice that you never see "Pizza Pie Sauce". It's just "Pizza Sauce". Because they aren't pies. They're pizzas.

I'm tempted to run in the next Amod election just so I can ban anyone who says "pies" or "pop" when talking about pizza or soda. Make fast food great again (tm)!

I'm proud to say I'd never heard of Linguica before and needed to google it. Go back to the elitist cooking thread with your fancy ingredients!!!!

It depends on region too. In CT (New Haven area) all the proud guidos need to be different. Sure they may get the same tomato puree they use for their sauce, but some places will stew and grind fresh tomatoes to add, or use a different ratio of spices, roast peppers differently, etc...in conclusion McCheese needs to stick to his area of expertise, places with drive threws

Pepperoni is dogshit. If you order that on your pizza, it tells me all I need to know about your shitty taste.
