Who the fuck would eat a fish sandwich at Arby's while the Beef N' Cheddar exists?
Curly Fries + Beef N' Cheddar = heaven

It's too bad Arby's is so fucking expensive though.

I can't believe you guys are arguing over fish sandwiches. Just go to fucking Long John Silver's if you want fish or a Culver's if you have one. I feel bad for any of you guys that don't have a Culver's. They have such an awesome menu. Their Pork Tenderlions are top notch.

I love me some Long John Silvers, but sadly there aren't any in my area. Nor are there any Culver's. I think that's a case for a lot of places across the country. In most areas, if you want a fast food fish sandwich you're probably stuck with McD's, Wendy's, or BK.

I haven't been to an Arby's in years. Last one I went to, got the regular roast beef and there was a huge ring of fat all around the meat and the meat itself was a weird greyish color. Really put me off to getting anything from there ever again.

Hardee's and KFC are the only two places that I've been too that get biscuits right(never been to a Popeye's so I can't comment). Hardee's breakfast though is the best you can have. No other fast food place comes close.
Hardee's biscuits are pretty amazing. Popeyes are amazing in a different way, they are so god damned buttery.

I would say if you were just eating a biscuit by itself, Popeyes' are better. For a sandwich/biscuits and gravy, Hardee's wins (though I think Popeyes always serves it as a side).

During Lent, the McD's around here serve double Filets o Fish which are really damned good. I've never asked outside of Lent if they'll make one... I should.

Finally had Potbelly with the hot peppers everyone raves about. They are good but it's nothing more then giardiniera. Great price though for the quality of the sandwhich compared to Subway.

For the first time in my life I'm getting burned out on fast food. I go to lunch everyday and I get an hour. I go with 2-3 others most days, normally 2 Vp's and the IT guy. They want to eat fast food everday when we get an hour (and that's pretty flexible) and most reaturants are under 5 minutes away. I don't understand it. When I mention a real non chain restaurant they act like that's unheard of. To make matters worse there's a giant shopping area right here that has every fast food place known to man. Mostly annoying because I'm new and trying to nail down places to eat so I figured I would go along to get along. One VP wants to eat at Costco once a week lol.

I think the only one I haven't eaten at before I Five Guys and they say it's too expensive. Boggles the mind.

I did get a kick out of them taking me a fast food place and they talked like it was some super secret place that nobody ever heard of. We went to Cane's lol. I'm from BR and ate at the first one before even a lot of people in town knew what the hell it was and then draw every one for years when they were expanding, when I saw Denver on the drawing as the location I figured they had "made it".

The woman who works in estimating has the office next to mine. She says she doesn't understand how we can afford to eat out everyday for lunch. She asked on the day we ate at Burger King....

The only saving grace is once a week or so I get to take customers out and put it on the company card and we normally eat Mexican or out for steak etc...

Anyway just my rant. I move to where they have lots of fast food places and 3 months later I'm tired of it.

They used to have a non menu item called the Grand Mariner (I worked at McDonalds 30 years ago in high school) that was 2 filet of fishes on a Big Mac bun and whatever else.

We sold a ton of them especially during lent as you mentioned, but this was also South Louisiana where the majority of people are catholic.

I think I might like tartar sauce so much because I was subjected to a shitty homemade version all the time as a kid. My mom would make fish sticks but instead of spending the money on actual tartar sauce she'd mix relish (the kind you put on hot dogs), mayo, and ketchup in a bowl and call it tartar sauce. So now I slather fish in the real thing every chance I get because it tastes so great in comparison.
Well "real" tartar sauce is pretty much just mayo, relish or pickles, and some lemon juice. Your Mom wasn't that far off.

I remember getting those stuffed breads everyday for lunch when I worked at Costco during summer breaks in college. So good.

This does not sound ideal. I'm glad I work with a large number of fellow food snobs. We don't fuck around. One time we even went to a Brazilian steakhouse for lunch. Kind of a mistake to have all-you-can-eat steak and then have to go back to the office.

My best work lunch was once when we drove 40 miles to go to Zachary's pizza in Berkeley. Left work at 11, got back at 4 PM and met the secretary in the hall as she was leaving for the day. Sometimes it was nice working in a place where nobody gave a fuck.

I graduated from LSU. Is it me ,or does Canes not taste as good out of Baton Rouge. Even the Lemonade isn't done correctly.
