I don't know if they still produce this, but when I was a kid you could purchase microwave caramel popcorn. Basically it was just a normal bag of microwave popcorn that came with this big caramel bar that you then put in the bag, and shook it up while it was hot to melt the caramel all over the popcorn.

So anyways, I figured out after making a bag or two of it that I could skip the melting step, and just eat the big block of caramel by itself. It was a brick of caramel the size of a large Hershey bar...and it was awesome. So a week or so later my mom goes to make some caramel popcorn, and ALL the caramel bars were gone that were supposed to be attached to the corresponding popcorn packages...like 8 of them, all gone.

Caramel is wither AWESOME or crap... finding a good one that is consistent is the key.

I can eat caramel in a twix bar, that's about it. That said I prefer the old style PB Twix.. the new ones are shitty.

Not regular ones, the ice cream ones are godly though. I dont know if the ice cream one has caramel, but it's masked by the other deliciousness that I can deal with it.

Oh man. I don't like caramel either unless it's being the quiet one at the party. They're has to be enough other flavors going on to tone it down for me. Love me some Snickers and Goo Goo Clusters (which are hard to find anymore). Only the old school sized Snickers though. The larger ones seem to fuck up all the ratios.

Yeah it has caramel but it has the odd GMO type kind that does not freeze (as the caramel part would be hard as stone while the rest is soft/ice creamy) so I don't really like it as much.

Do any of the caramel fans remember Marathon Bars? That was the caramel lovers' candy bar when I was growing up.

It is pretty easy to make home-made caramel as well. I never knew about it until I started going to Thanksgiving on my wife's side and they make it every year with home made whipped cream as well. Its fucking aces.

Caramel is what I imaging the scum floating on the sewage retention basin in hell would taste like.

So I got two of the new flavors of Lay's today. Biscuits and Gravy were good, I wish they were kettle cooked. The Gyro flavor wasn't bad, but it sure didn't taste like a Gyro.

I'm not a big sweets eater, but I don't get hating on caramel. I can see just not liking it, but thinking it's actually disgusting tasting is just weird to me.

I feel like this is the thought process behind the obesity epidemic.

Anyway, caramel is literally the greatest... sweet?... ever created. Caramel makes any breakfast or ice cream exponentially better.
