I think they may take the crown for "Slathering weird shit on bread". First it's marmite on bread, then it's this for kids on their birthdays. Like...do you hate your kids or something? Plain white bread and that stuff is held on with butter:
And since we were just talking about burgers recently, this is a burger in Australia. I'm cool with bacon and eggs, and I'm kind of meh on the pineapple...but pickled beets? I ate a few cheeseburgers there with beets, and I mean, it wasn't BAD...but...why? It didn't strike me as a flavor cheeseburgers had been missing.

I like my burgers to have a flavor theme. Pickled beets could be good on an Asian style burger. On an American one it seems out of place.

I know you’re trolling but you know this thread and you know me. Most of us eat crazy shit like you. White bread for me only belongs at a hole n the wall BBQ joint or on a PB and J sandwich otherwise I’m not a big fan.
Mayo is ok but I usually put Yucateco XXX Mayan hot sauce on all my sandwiches with a dab of horseradish mustard.
And if you don’t know Wegman’s NY guy now you know.

I recently got a loaf of wonderbread or something similar for my kids to eat. They hated it. We make all our own bread here, have been doing so for a while now. I hate spending the $4 a loaf for decent bread, and if you make it yourself, it's around $1 a loaf.

Freeze-dried Skittles. Basically Skittles but instead of being chewy they crunch and pop. All the adult stoners were raving about them and now probably close to 15 people in guild have ordered them. I haven't had them yet, but basically everyone that has gotten them has said they're amazing. Make sure to use Etsy though as it's much cheaper than Amazon which apparently is like $15 for 4 oz.

This is like peanut butter and bologna sandwiches that I figured out as a kid were really freakin' good.
And peanut butter bacon sandwiches have been a thing for me since forever. Have a couple BLTs on BLT dinner night, and then finish it off with a peanut butter bacon sandwich. One of the best dinners ever!

my next fun appliance purchase will be a zoji bread maker, i'm told it's the best of the best, i have a nice basic one i bought for covid but i do notice that the bottom is a bit "dense" i know, i could just try to maybe do it w/o the breadmaker

Pickled beets take the place of regular pickles on Australian burgers, and taste way better. They add a nice sweetness.

I do it by hand. I never like the results with a bread maker. I get a much more open texture and waaaay better crust when I do it by hand. We go through bread here like crazy. I'm baking every other day.
