So many companies do this, I'm sure it had nothing to do with not wanting her to be a little more accommodated and everything with knowing they can hire some teen to do the same job for minimum wage and not have to pay them like a 15 yr tenure employee.Fuck Costco. Until recently my grandmother worked at Costco preparing/serving the little samples they give out. She had been there for something like 15 years, and she loved the job. However, due to her age it was getting hard for her to stand for so many hours, but her cunt manager refused to let her sit on a stool. My grandmother tried to compromise and just asked for a little mat she could stand on to give her feet some cushioning, and the cunt manager refused again. So my grandmother was forced to quit the job she loved just because this bitch of a manager couldn't make a tiny accommodation to help a long-time employee.
That's the thing though, Costco is famous for not treating their employees like this. So if they as a company went all Wal Mart on her it's a chink in the armor. So many companies do this, I'm sure it had nothing to do with not wanting her to be a little more accommodated and everything with knowing they can hire some teen to do the same job for minimum wage and not have to pay them like a 15 yr tenure employee.
Costco doesn't operate that way, it is well known for paying their employees well and treating them good. If you can't do the job you can't do the job. Most of those people are hired by the company whos product is being sold and not by Costco. So many companies do this, I'm sure it had nothing to do with not wanting her to be a little more accommodated and everything with knowing they can hire some teen to do the same job for minimum wage and not have to pay them like a 15 yr tenure employee.
I've only had them a couple of times, but I could eat a bathtub full of them.Ikea has the best horse meatballs in south Florida. That's fo sho.
Their return policy is great for consumers, and absolutely a nightmare for vendors. You can literally return an 8 year old computer for full price if you kept the original receipt. When I worked at costco in my teens I used to see people return half watermelons. They ate half, it was too much, so they returned the rest, and we took that shit back and gave them full price. The most egregious thing I saw though was a guy return an 18 year old watch. Somehow he kept the original receipt intact for all that time and got full price back for that fucking thing.Costco is like the best place on Earth apparently. Dirt cheap goods. Cheap good food. Pay their employees an actual good wage and treat them like humans. Clean thoroughly every single day. Ridiculously good return policy.
Shit is ridiculous.
Costco and Sam's are pretty much the same quality here in CT outside of the fact that Sam's is owned by evil Wal-Mart. Outside of the fast food at those club stores the best thing about them is they have awesome butcher shops. High quality meat for cheap. If for nothing else the butcher shops alone are worth the cost of membership.I've only had them a couple of times, but I could eat a bathtub full of them.
Also Costco > Walmart/Sam's. By a long shot in my opinion.
It's a matter of convenience, as the Sam's is like a mile from me and the closest Costco is about 10 miles. Also Costco > Walmart/Sam's. By a long shot in my opinion.
That's good information. At my Costco, actually 2 of them that I go to regularly, the old ladies they have doing the samples always sit on stools. Like, always.
Ten whole miles? Damn.the closest Costco is about 10 miles.
Does not compute. With all the processed foods you eat, you could be saving a ton of money!I never signed up because I don't generally buy bulk processed foods so I figured my membership would go to waste.
When I eat junk food I buy it specifically for that meal. If I were to go to Costco and buy a bag of 270 pizza rolls (holy shit, is that a thing?) I'd end up eating them all in a single day.Does not compute. With all the processed foods you eat, you could be saving a ton of money!
10 miles in south Florida traffic to get some groceries is not worth it.Ten whole miles? Damn.
