E.L. Fudge was where my cookie addiction began, and probably one of the main reasons I was a fat kid. I used to love biting the heads off of the elves.

Did anyone not ever eat the heads first?

Haven't had them yet but a few buddies are calling it the best new fast food item they've had in years.

How the fuck have no fast food places previously gotten heavy in to the loaded french fry racket before? It's so GD easy too. Make fries, dump a bunch of cheese and shit on them. FUCKING FLAVOR COUNTRY!

One of my local pizza places does an order of loaded fries with cheese, piles of bacon all over the place and a side of sour cream and it's insanely delicious and the portion would feed 2 normal people as a full meal. It would even satisfy McCheese as an appetizer!!

$4.50

Yeah.

I think loaded french fries have this stigma as being the epitome of a "non-food" that's hard to shake. A lot of people must look at them as being the polar opposite of a food with nutritional value.

That sums up like 75% of fast food menus, though.

Oh god, Whole Foods. I just went into one last week for the first time in ages, and it was absolutely awful. I went in with the sole purpose of getting shredded cheese and large tortillas to make some quesadillas. While I was impressed with their selection of whole-block cheeses, they didn't have any decent pre-packaged shredded cheese (Mexican blend, etc.) and they only had 6 inc tortillas. I ended up doing two laps around the store then leaving to go to a normal supermarket. Such a waste of time. The kicker is that in Maryland Whole Foods can't even boast its nice wine section like in other areas. I won't be entering one again.

You are actually surprised that a Whole Foods doesn't stock "pre-packaged", shredded cheese? Really? This is a surprise to you? That sort of shit flies in the face of the entire ethos of the company.

Whole Foods is pretty lame. Although the one on 4th St offers the Greatest Ice Cream in the World.

This is the worst post in the history of the Fast Food thread. I have added you to my list of people's opinions to automatically ignore when it comes to food.

They stock it. Their selection sucks.

McCheese strikes me as the type of person that walks into whole foods, declares he can't find anything, and turns around and walks out without even looking.

They have an entire line of generic brand stuff that you'd find at any grocery store.

As I said, I walked around the entire place 2 times and probably spent 20 - 30 minutes browsing. They had a handful of shredded cheeses, but no good blends like 4-Cheese Mexican, Italian, etc. With as much as I love food, grocery stores are one of my favorite places to wander around.

I'm surprised they even do!
They even had Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, although the selection was shitty compared to the regular grocery stores.

Whole Foods is the kind of place the Cooking Thread posters probably do their shopping.

*Edit* They also had some teenager with those nasty ear-lobe disc things in his ears--bigger than quarters--giving out samples of some fancy spinach right inside the main entrance. That was almost enough to repulse me enough to turn around and walk out right then (the stupid ears, not the spinach...I feel like I have to explain that).
