Remember, they don't have it on store shelves. You have to preorder on the site, use the store pick up option for that store, and then go to the store pick up line. But you'll get 10 bucks certificate in a few weeks and can also use gamers club. Plus any other certain you have from rewards.

I complained some more to Amazon and the guy said hed watch my delivery and try to upgrade to overnight (possible BS) but also added an extra free month of prime.

If you bitched a little more, and pointed out how you preordered months (to years ago in some cases apparently) and they have completely failed to deliver, you probably could have gotten the game for free.
Like seriously. If I was dude that ordered 3 years ago, I'd be bitching up a storm about getting the game for free if I have to wait till Friday for it to show up. They were supposed to upgrade preorders to launch day shipping automatically, ffs.

So basically their system automatically lies to people instead of accurately reflecting what is going on. Although it does appear to be a general shipping problem on top since there hasn't been movement on orders from both Friday and Sunday that have said arriving on Tuesday from the start.
Might call around and see if there's a gamestop or something with extra deluxe and midnight it.

That reddit thread needed a more specific title. The issue isn't with Xbox or standard copies it's entirely the deluxe PS4 edition for everyone who wanted the DLC and Kingsglaive copy along with the physical disc. If you're going standard wtf wouldn't you just go digital anyways?
edit: my unrelated Friday order shipped, says 13:19 on the notification (guessing that's in PST) and still claims to get here from Phoenix, AZ tomorrow. Hoping the game doesn't have to come across the country the same way.

I get mine on Wednesday.
Only sad because it breaks my Amazon/bestbuy streak of getting preordered games the day before they are released.
Digital is for the faithful, I have no faith in the game industry, and mitigate my loss by having the option to trade the game in the first 2 weeks for 50% of the capital cost.
If it sucks and its digital your boned. Also w/ digital you risk losing all your games at Sony's Whim. Account gets hacked and you have to do a chargeback? Bamn your PSN account is banned and all your digital games gone.
All because you could not get your ass off the couch and switch a disk? How about no.
