Day 1 patch downloaded, 5 Hours 26 minutes to go before I can play. Sadly I'll probably be asleep by then, and then work...so it's really 24 hours till I can play.
I might stay to play an hour or two, I think I can manage to stay up till 2AM on a work day...at 47 it's hard though, gonna take me a week to recover, might be worth it though. I'm too old for this shit.

Man did this shit hit me hard this year, only 38 but I have fallen asleep so many times with the controller in my hand this year. Redbulls are part of my game gear now just so I can make it past Midnight on the weekends.

I somehow convinced the wife on a trip out to get Raising Cane's chicken to let me swing into Guitar Center. Walked out spending $230 on a new beginner electric Fender guitar, then went to BB and spent another $80 on Rocksmith... that little hobby didn't last long at all.

Honestly, that's how it always works if you live close to an amazon distribution center.
You don't get a notice till late in the evening the day before the shipment is supposed to arrive saying it shipped.
Unless it goes to USPS and they dick you like they dick me all the time, in those situations you almost always get your package on time.
And every time a big game comes out a bunch of people freak out because they didn't get their shipping notification before like 8 to 10 pm the night before release date.

My Prime pre-order pushed its own delivery back to the Thursday on the tracker they flat out said Wed was a possibility over the phone until I complained for a shipping bump. Usually don't have any carrier issues but with people that do have local delivery issues Wed/Thu/Fri is a reality and it would be solved by not waiting until 10pm the night before to ship things out when street date was broken 10 days prior.

The real time day and night cycle is fucking amazing. Just sitting there and watching the sun go down as it hits a rock and starts casting a larger shadow is pretty damn cool. Character interaction is good and isn't too emo (yet). Easy to use interface. Combat is a flipping blast. Graphics on 1080p on regular PS4 are absolutely gorgeous.
Glad I got this game. Feel bad I only paid 30 bucks now. But I'm sure SE still realizes full revenue.
