The last beta/tech test they did recently was a big improvement, imo. Performance was a loooot smoother and gunplay felt better (at least the SMG's which I used the most). The new cosmetics were OK, but the Battle Pass UI was atrocious. Pricing for the Shop currency (Caliber) was pretty standard where the premium BP was $10, and outfits were $15 or $25. I wasn't able to try out the new "dungeon" content, but everything else was pretty much the same, I'll play it for awhile but I think I'll nope out once I have to farm the later endgame bosses.

So this game is basically Warframe minus the tranny chat mods and crippling TDS infecting the dev team, but with the addition of a metric ton of predatory MTX and P2W?
I pretty much never grouped in Warframe aside from the occasional mission to level something up quickly, but still did pretty much everything in the game. That going to be viable here or is grouping a hard requirement?

I knew absolutely nothing about this game two days ago, but I have it installed and ready to give it a shot when it unlocks.

You can solo everything except the big bosses needed for character/weapon parts. There are new dungeons where you add difficult via negative effects for better/more drops that can also find in the big boss fights. Didn't have a chance to try them out, but I imagine they can be solo'd.
Edit: I should say that some of the "solo" content is a giant pain in the ass though, especially the tower defense type missions of your character has no way to block incoming dmg to the tower other than killing fast. Grouping such encounters and high wave encounters was pretty fun though, especially if you get AoE types like Bunny/Valby and defenders like Ajax.
I feel the angst against their monetization might be a bit overblown unless you're simply against all forms of that in a f2p game. It could for sure though if the pricing on getting characters is high.

Seems so. I guess it will all depend on how viable they make it to get stuff without swiping your card. I've seen people say that TFD equivalents to forma and potatoes range from $10 to $24 too. Which is fine if they are farmable, but if it's like getting those things in Warframe then I would have a huge problem with that.
Given that this is Nexon, I feel pretty safe in assuming the worst.
