Switch that necro to rogue and you have one of the meta trios. Although with the dot changes being 1 sec cast, who knows? This might be a good build. But dont fear, you can always switch out classes. They give you a free class change but if need be you can always pay the $5 to change it as well. They also give you free class change every expansion too.
Even so, characters level so quickly in this game, I would not even bother. Just roll up something else if it comes down to it. I think the last character I made, my monk, pally, ench I got him 1-50 in about 6-7 hours but that was with twink gear and having classic-luclin unlocked, so I had plenty of lv zones to chose from. BTW I like the following to level.... Backburrow 1-12, Unrest 12-25, FM giants 25-32 (lots of plat), City of mist 32-50 (tons of plat)
If you want some AE face tanking, SK/Rog/Wiz is strong against trash and bosses. You can always switch to Shm later, but never felt the need. The lowest level tap that is over 10 mana (Lifespike), to trigger Symp Strike, is usually the only hard casting heal needed. The riposte AA seem to really help with lifesteal procs against a pack of mobs too. Rogue and SK procs both benefit from Wiz crit rate and massive criticals. Why rogue?
I grabbed necromancer for soem kind of AE as well as a "pet" but it was borne moreso from a "this could be interesting" than any kind of strat.
I was 100% thinking SK / Berserker / Shaman for buffs, damage and durability originally but figured I needed SOME kind of AE.
The mag pet does not fully come online until lv 50 when you get that 16 slot bag from the AA. Then you can equip that pet with 16 items focusing on dmg and AC and HP. Warrior is only known for his AA rage of rallos or some shit like that? Which basically, form my understnding makes him proc every hit. So you need spell damage so his procs hit for thousands, depending on weapons of course. Shaman is slow/malo, dots, and rabid bear form, which pumps up your attack and stats and gives you extra heals. And you can basically have that shit running constant with only like a min 30 in between.I must not be understanding the gearing meta on this server. I watch streamers roll up to raid mobs and their health bar doesn't fucking move. While my 40lvl war/mag/shm gets 2 yellows on him and I'm spamming heal the entire time while my mage and shaman pets whittle away at them.
Ok that makes more sense. I accept the answer of "just keep playing"But all this shit wont come online until youre high 50s with a bunch of AA invested. Plus spell damage/heal power gear so the warrior can use those procs to heal himself.
One of the metas forming these days is War/Bst/... Insert support class here... Which both the WAR and BST have basically the same type of AA that makes all of your hits proc. Which then you have 2 dmg cycles from your procs on a short timer.Ok that makes more sense. I accept the answer of "just keep playing"
Pretty sure I did Torment at 61. That might be one where you need to talk to more than one person. I don't remeber. The Seer in Tranq (that lists your flags) might be able to give hints on what you missed. There a level req to get into torment or did my flags get fucked up? I talked to to chick in sick bay and got the flag but when I try to hit torment it says I'm too much of a pussy (not experienced enough) and boots me back to Tranq.
This is a pretty good text version of progression for PoP. The THJ version seems to closely follow these steps. There a level req to get into torment or did my flags get fucked up? Found it. One random dude I didn't talk to like 3 planes ago.
YEah that sucks man. There should be an in game checklist of something for this shit because as it stands its janky as fuck. You skip one step along the way and good luck finding it.There a level req to get into torment or did my flags get fucked up? Put on a shield for them, only bosses in there that needed a shield for me on the same build and made a huge difference.Went and did Time last night. P1-P4 and Bertoxx + CT in P5 were easy solo for War/Clr/Bst, but I don't see how I'll be able to solo RZ or Quarm - I might be able to do Innoruuk, but even that's a stretch.
Rogue doesn't really go both ways. They are 100% a blue class, because poison procs account for a LOT of your DPS on this server. I'd argue RNGs are in a similar boat, because they're so reliant on procs (especially since bows facilitate them so well), which are also a "blue" damage/spell damage thing. RNG only really works in a white damage setup if it's paired with a CLR, because of the boost DA gives. Both rogue (poisons) and SK (spell and AA taps) profit from spell damage gear, as well as the shaman. They are a blue dmg combo. Berserk is more of a "white" dmg class, sure he pumps out lots of dmg, but does not profit from spell dmg and relies on Hdex and Hstr for his scaling. Which is kind of opposite of the spell dmg builds. Although this might be changing with POP gear. Also, you dont need AE, I mean, its nice to have but you dont NEED it.
White dmg classes Hdex/Hstr/Hagi... Cleric, monk, Rog (can go both ways), Berserk, Pally, Ranger (can go both ways) Warrior (can go both ways)
Blue dmg classes (spell dmg stacking) Ench, Mag, Druid, Shaman, Beast lord, WIZ, Necro
I say can go both ways because take warrior for example, he can go into a blue dmg build because of his AA and procs, so his procs will be hitting for tons of dmg while his AA is running with spell dmg stack, I forget the name of the AA. Same with a class like ranger, think of a ranger as a carrier of procs or can just scale his white bow dmg. Rog can scale white dmg backstabs OR scale his poison which is magic based from spell damage.
Then you can do sort of a hybrid build with stacking some spell damage and some Hdex/Hstr like Ranger/SK/rog or War/Bst/ combo... Shit like that.
Problem was before PoP gear, you could only go either or. Meaning you COULD do up a hybrid build, but the gear available kind of hampered you. Now with PoP gear having both Hdex/Hstr AND spell power on it, the hybrid builds should be a bit more viable.
Alt n then look for pop progression.YEah that sucks man. There should be an in game checklist of something for this shit because as it stands its janky as fuck. You skip one step along the way and good luck finding it.
There's a Seer in PoK that tells you all the things and if they're done. Some of it seem out of order though which made it hard to figure out wtf I missed.YEah that sucks man.
