Lots of Luclin waypoints.



Emp depends on your class comp. Most can skip over bane. (SK, Rog, Shm) here and I just relied on my casted spells. It was a very LONG fight though, but one you only complete once.

Are you keeping Torpor up at all times? That spell is free now since they removed the slow.

Secondly, keep an eye on how you're popping the Shaman defensive AAs. A lot of those can be helpful, especially the shields. And you're dropping Call of the Ancients at engage? That thing lasts forever.

Was an alt I already had and it was in ~95% luclin bis. I didn't keep dots on him 100% of the time, I let them drop off while I dealt with the add spawns so that he wouldn't push lower and double spawn them. There's 4 defensive discs that make you almost unkillable during them, I would only use one if I was ever at 50% or so when a set of adds spawned. That's all I can think of.

Also make sure you're dealing with Blind Rage. There's slackjawed Rallos and bite the pillow Rallos, and the difference between them is one click. I forgot one time and had to FD him off before realizing what happened.

On Quarm I'd kite to get the debuffs in, but Zeb is hilariously fast and I had to shut that down rather instantly.

RZ has been the most difficult boss for my SK/RoG/Wiz (much harder than Quarm), the two times I have done it, even with Quarm doing close to the max dps that people have listed here (~1400dps gave a couple close calls, though). My Mnk/Zerk/Clr can't kill Quarm and the last RZ kill was a huge pain too (4 deaths).

First, he can be pulled at less than 10s on his haste buff and he wont recast it, if in combat. So if you want to start with a long casting spell, that isn't dispel, you can do it that way. I try to wing the first set of adds (@90%) and then save cooldowns (at least 1 defensive & 1 offensive) for the 75%/50%/25% set of adds. As you listed, I was also using the best AC shield I could find (at least two good ones drop in time), so that gives Counterattack/Nimble and Deflection for big 12 second defensives, with leachcurse as a weaker one, rounding out the set.

I think I've seen him take me from 70% to ~10% in one round, so in order to stay over 70%, I spam Lifespike the whole fight, with hardly any room to cast anything else, even if I wanted too. I've seen people on Disco with casting bar set ups that have both Lifespike and Lifedraw on them, in order to chain cast them even quicker, but don't know if that would hinder weapon swings/procs.

If you have a Rogue in your combination, be mindful that you get this as part of your toolkit at 65-

30 seconds of ass-pounding white damage.

Also I was today's days old when I learned that you can use abilities while casting spells (been on the server two months heh). So average boss DPS is up over 10k now that I'm not trying to alternative between casting DoTs and using abilities, w/ Rallos @ 13.25k this morning. DoT casters are seriously going to become the most hated combination on the server, but at least I face tank mobs and haven't summoned a pet in almost a week.

Yeah, I'm really wondering if there's some sort of stealth buff that happened. Or I'm just a victim of horrible RNG. My first 4 kills of him were no problem. A little dicey at a couple moments, but not really any more difficult than RZ.

But my last 2 instances he's absolutely shredding me. Also a MNK/BER/CLR. And my first 2 attempts that I killed him fairly easily were with just BIS Luclin shit. Now with PoP gear he's destroying me.

EDIT: Just checked an old screenshot of my Luclin gear. I was at 1062 MIT when I killed him the first 2 times, now I'm at 1211 MIT.

Nah, autofire stays on, at least for backstab. At least it did months ago, last I played Rng/Rog.

Make that in a macro in that order. Now whenever you autofire it'll only toggle on, never off.

leveled up a ton of items. here is the final result with buffs. Did my potime in 1 hour 15 minutes this morning. Working on Zeb with a buddy now.

I'm assuming you did the whole delevel to 55 and DN thing?

nah just did pofire pickup groups. with 6 people killing in the zone, the item xp goes fast. I'm super max AA so the AA sharing doesnt matter. It was taking roughly 1 hour per item.
