What’s your 3 classes?I’m trying to BiS my gear with PoP items out now, but legos are so stupid expensive. I’ve found decent regular and ench prices for much of it, but leveling through the power slot is so slow. I’m 62 and part way through tier 3 and my staff of transcendence I’ve had in my slot since PoP day one is only at enchanted 23%….
is there a “best” spot to level up power slot gear? I’m not a pet class build so I can’t just afk overnight to level items.
Still DN. Just delevel to 55 or 60, level up your shit, then go back to 65.I’m trying to BiS my gear with PoP items out now, but legos are so stupid expensive. He did the same thing to me last night. Pretty sure he either got stealth buffed or had the haste belt.Think I am fighting some sort of giga Quarm. He is absolutely tearing me up today. Even with full ATK debuffs I got hit with this basically the instant deftdance dropped.

Surprisingly, the state of the DZ also seems to be saved to some extent. I died to him and took a shower and stuff and then went back to Time and he still had his debuffs. If you want to get a little cheesy (and assuming you aren't already), you can Bazaar out and pre-buff with all your goodies while the duration timer is frozen, wait for the ability cooldowns to reset, then head back in and have double buffs to fight him with. So as a Druid, that's 100 hits right out the gate that you can mitigate by 25% with Wrath of the Wild (I think that's how it works?), and then whatever the updated Bard Rune mitigation is on top of it.
My kills so far have had the following Quarm DPS: 1,085 (no belt/hammer), 725 (green belt, yep), 844 (no belt/hammer), 986 (green belt), and 839 (hammer), with the last two being yesterday after the patch. So feels more like RNG than anything.
That cheesy strat is brilliant. Never thought of trying it. Hmm, darn…yeah no way to AFK with that unfortunately. I was gonna say if you had bard or even SK or PAL you could probably get away with at least some light AFKing with just ripostes and sustain from procs.Clr/mnk/berz
Just a bit of my 2c on the downfall of EQ. Honestly, PoP wasn't it. Many mid-lower tier guilds enjoyed the raiding, as it offered something for everyone. Guilds actually worked a lot more together to handle the burden of backflagging and when a few guilds finally managed to get to Time, it was actually instanced for the first time ever. The AAs were good, PoFire was the premier XP spot in the day, but there were lots of other options. Ornate and Elemental armor brought focuses to lower/mid tier players & guilds which was quite an upgrade. As I mentioned previously, at the bleeding edge of worldwide raid guilds, my only complaint was the 3 month dev cockblock with Rathe Council being unkillable so they could finish PoTime.
What REALLY killed EQ was the debacle that was GoD / OoW. This was famously supposed to be a single expac with a level raise to 70. At some point in development, they split the xpac in two and rushed out a very broken and unfinished GoD. We ended up with raids tuned for level 70 while everyone remained 65, utterly broken scripts, and just a complete disaster of gameplay. I still have screenshots buried somewhere where we had (on live server) a level 1 GM Dev in our raid following us around giving us GM Rezzes and taking tune notes while we just got crushed constantly. This happened to coincide with WoW release and drove most of us, myself included, to just call it quits once and for all.
He had a blue belt. I bought a ton of Diaku augs to bring my self buffed mit up to 1550. I think that helped just enough to get me over the finish line.
Yeah, if he has the haste belt he absolutely shreds. Pretty sure he had that on my last attempt as well. Tried 8 times with different strats before finally realizing I need more gear if he spawns in as the hasted version. He had a blue belt. Just looked at logs and my last kill had him doing 1400 DPS w/o a belt. Think I got the spool (green), stone (blue), and cloak (Lego). The other kill I've done was at 750 DPS with Whorl, Hammer, and Neck.Yeah, if he has the haste belt he absolutely shreds. Pretty sure he had that on my last attempt as well. The other thing about Quarm is that most of his DPS is front loaded. He backs off a bit at the 75% and again at the 50% marks. I just couldn't ever get him to that point before running out of mana with all the spam healing it required.
