Pal monk sham. I breezed through tov. Untill vulak. With double mslo couldn't land a single dot. Guess I need to get s tssh stick?

Also chain casting low level ice nukes to trigger procs, am I missing something?

He's super resistant to poison and disease need to use other DoTs.

Finally got my necro to 60. Hit 1700AA by 58 but with nothing left to buy I just turned AA exp off.

Hopped into TOV to test the build on vulak and realized how good SOS is, since not having it; everything saw through invis and I had like 100 mobs between me and the first boss. Will end up fd flopping to skip as much as I can but I miss sneak
Are you an SK? Dark temptation buff interrupts rogue stealth. I was in ToV earlier Sosing around, no problem.

Edit: Shit, I was thinking of Vyemm, not Vulak (end boss).

Yea, Vulak Vyemm is retarded slow for anyone that doesn't have good options outside of poison and disease. I have never seen either land on 1000+ (probably) of lifetap and poison procs. I used to switch to fire poison, but don't even bother now. Since I'm SK/Rog/Wiz I just stand out of melee once the adds die (I use them to lifetap while backstabing Vulak Vyemm) and pop double cast/frenzied devastation to blow him up with fire (Sunstrike/shock of Fire).

Edit: Vulak takes disease fine (taps) but resists all poison procs. Again, used to switch to rogue fire poison for him (left Vyemm and Vuklak till last to switch poison), but don't bother now and hard cast wiz spells and Lifespike the whole time.

I'm not a rogue so don't have SoS. i was pointing out how powerful it is, we take it for granted when discussing class balancing, rogue definitely falls off for DPS at higher levels of play but things like SoS are so good you dont even realize til you dont have it.

My SK/Nec/Shm eventually got to Vulak, took much longer had to clear more adds, even FD skipping as much as possible I still ended up clearing more trash than i normally would.

Vulak went down easily, super easily actually was never in any danger....So yeah this is my strongest character so far. went ahead and tried Sleeper. I know this build can easily do sleeper in the hands of a better player than me, and I actually ended up killing the first warder Add but ended up taking an unlucky string of dmg right around 30% on the sleeper and died...just didnt time it right I was low around 40% health and in the middle of a cast when he basically just got some lucky flurry hits and deleted me. Had I played it more conservatively I probably would have lived but it was so disheartening to die like that I just rage logged lol I hadn't spawned any extra adds yet so for sure hadn't hit 25%.

People with pets, how do you keep them alive (if possible) on fights like sleeper? I think I lost shaman and SK pet on Vulak but my spectre Necro pet lived, but all of my pets died on sleeper like right away so it was just me and my dots.

right now i'm puttzing around with a war/bard/wiz. I'm much better at leveling new concept characters than I am at raiding lol

So far my 60s:
SK/Rog/Ber, Kunark era geared for the most part, stuck at AoW/Vulak. dies to sleeper at 95% health
Pal/Rng/Rog, Velious geared, somewhat shaky but can kill Vulak/AoW, dies to sleeper at 75% (first add spawn)
Sk/Nec/Shm, very well Velious geared, easily kill Vulak/AoW, died to sleeper at 30%. will try it again tomorrow, hopefully can finally kill him and start getting augs

I misread that, my bad. Thought you were a fellow rogue also having problems with stealth due to that bloody buff =P

As to your pets, I saw a video earlier today about the petcuck. It goes into detail about pets, it might be worth watching even if all you have a speedbump for a pet:

Are you using muzzle of mardu? Apparently it helps keep them alive. Doesn't help much with my speedbump lv 37 sk pet, but maybe your necro pet?

not a mage or a bst so i dont get all those extra pet AAs, also yeah I have muzzle of mardu spell so my muzzles are permanent, in the bank in my 3 synchrosatchels for SK, Nec, Shm. I guess one thing I could do is get them heal proc weapons, I didnt feel like spending a bunch of plat on blackstar weapons but I guess that's prolly a good spot (they are currently using fayguard daggers, the cheap rng ones, was using for AE grinding DN)

I stopped playing my petcuck at 35 once I figured out how the AA catchup mechanic worked and that I would need to spend many more hours in Dulak for it to matter on my SK/Rog/Wiz. That said, I did buff my SK pet up with level 60 Druid/Cleric/Chanter buffs for a ToV run and it didn't die once. Of course I don't think it procced the ranger epic slow on a single dragon, or at least it didn't show up in the mob's buff/debuff window for me.

If you’re okay with swapping 2 classes you’re better off doing anything that can AE, especially DN (wiz/brd/whatever or war/bst/clr are probably best). You’ll be pulling well over 100 AA/hr depending on your veteran level.
What do you mean by "Veteran level"?

They have an AA veterancy mechanic, basically your first character gets a bonus to AA of 300% that decreases linearly until you reach 150 AA. Anything over that 150 then becomes extra levels of bonus AA xp for your next character. So if you have 3 characters that all have 300 AA, your 4th character will have bonus AA xp for the first 150 AA, plus another 150 AA per each of the 3 characters, for a total of 600 AA that character will get bonus AA xp. Basically for every character over 150 AA, not including the one you are currently logged into, you’ll get additional levels of bonus AA xp that starts at 300% and goes down linearly until you hit the veterancy total. So based on this, people are picking AA farming combos like SK/BRD/WIZ etc to blast their character to a high AA level so they have a lot more AA farming with bonus xp on another alt that may not be so good at farming AA, but is a better boss killer. Inversely, some people also just farm out a ton of AA using a combo of good farming classes and then will class swap to what works better for boss farming once they are done with AA.

Just get them a muzzle and Strike of the Chosen weapons so they have an unresistable lifetap proc. Black Star is kinda meh, honestly.

ohhhh didn't realize strike of the chosen is unresistable. That's what i'm currently using on my war/brd/wiz, pair of jaelens, ill figure out a cheaper option if there is one for the pets since i gotta buy 6 of them. going to give that a shot now

edit: I guess Jaelen's are the cheaper option, i thought I saw that proc on other weapons but they're all way more expensive than Jaelens lol

if you watch the market, you'll often seen blackstars for 2k. Tends to fluctuate between 2k and 5k. Pretty cheap imo.

I haven't played my petcuck since kunark was released but I bet 3 pets with blackstars will keep you topped-up on health; all healing you and one another. That one guy's mage pet tanked BB like a champ no problem, my mnk/clr/sk often procs divine intervention several times during the fight =P

welp I fucked up, wiped on Kerafym at 5%....but I had accidently wasted leech touch and harmtouch while skipping to warders (was on wrong action bar when i was trying to FD all the crap off).

btw pet weapons made absolutely no difference they all died in the first 5 seconds on sleeper as usual.

should of saved my deflection disc until the adds spawned, and should have used leech and harm touch and i'm pretty sure i would have killed him. oh well next time

Close. I wiped my first attempt around 5% as well. If you can get back to sleepers within 5 min or so you can afk down by Kera while your cooldowns refresh and he shouldn’t despawn

make sure you guys have finishing blow. i didnt get it cause i thought it was only "fleeing mobs" but it does work on bosses like sleeper.

he had despawned the first time I ever tried to fight him so I always just drop the DZ after dying....good to know you can run back and try again.

But anyway new DZ, Kerafym down, got him and the warder add looted, then died to the adds after...tried to FD them off but for some reason they wouldn't go away.

I parked my pets up the ramp and kept them on guard/hold until kerafym hit 30%, then brought them into the fight to help with burn phase, idk if it helped but only my shaman pet died...necro and even my little baby SK pet managed to survive.

loot was actually decent, scale was crap but the vulak loot was double camils and mac boots

yah my first few times i had to deal with adds at like 10% on vulak and then someone told me about finishing blow. i skipped it over cause it specifies fleeing so i figured it was pointless.

i did BB on my sk/rogue/shammy with 1600AA. it was definitely NOT worth it lol. he goes in and out of being i think fully immune to spells? at least my magic and poison. i died over 10 times trying to get him down and got him once. and got 2000pp worth of items lmao. he was DWing for me too so it was really rough. still probably just bringing a 2nd person with me to make it super easy. Sleeper is the one i want to solo cause of those legendary augs.
