Discs/abilities/AAs that give SPA/skill damage boosts like Innerflame, Divine Avatar, etc. now stack, up to 300%.

Normally, EQ only lets you use the HIGHEST SPA disc/ability/AA.

Welp BB 1-rounded me before i could even get a defensive up. I would try on my war but since i have no invis, fade, or FD I'd have to clear my way through TOV then clear through PoM and doesnt seem worth it

New or old, prepared or not, we invite you to please join us for a memorable night of fun and adventure! ----- Balance Changes: With Luclin, comes our next round of balance changes. It is important to remember that The Heroes' Journey is a living, breathing experience. Not only do we work daily to fix bugs and add QoL features, but we work hand in hand with players at the top of many class combos to look into potential balance change needs. While some of you are fearful of nerfs to your prized class combinations, I promise that we will never make changes that eliminate the fun or viability of those combos. With that in mind: We identified Cleric's Divine Avatar, Pet Class's over stacking pet passives, and Wizard's passive critical damage as being areas that needed to be toned down. In testing these changes, we realized that no amount of tuning would solve the drought of what some of these areas bring. So while we tuned these down, we allowed other classes to access buffs with somewhat similar, sought after effects and increased existing buffs to feel more impactful. Additionally, we identified Rogues, Warriors, and Druids needing some additional TLC in certain scenarios. To that end, we tuned down:
  • Cleric's Divine Avatar has been scaled down, but remains one of the most powerful AA's in the game. Duration reduced to 2 minutes. Melee damage bonus and proc chance reduced to 100.
  • Pet's now have a hard cap on how much Flurry, Crit, Crit Damage, and Proc rate they can access (75%/75%/75%/100)
  • Wizard AA Improved Familiar no longer gives stacking critical spell damage (Net -40%)
And tuned up:
  • Warrior's Battle Leap AA duration to 12 seconds and increase damage modifier SPA 185 to 25% at RkI. RkII has been added for purchase for a 50% increase.
  • Warrior's Fellstrike Discipline duration increased to 1.5 min
  • Paladin's Holyforge Discipline now does crit and 50% SPA 185 instead of crit and crippling blow but had it's duration reduced to 2 minutes
  • Rogue's Lethality increased to 40% SPA 185
  • Rogue's Thief's Vengeance Discipline was increased to a 12 second duration
  • Rogue only piercers now give additional backstab damage (x3)
  • Berzerker's Burning Rage increased to 30% SPA 185 (Slot 1)
  • Druid's Spirit of the Bear now adds 75% SPA 185
  • Druid's Spirit of the White Wolf now reduces spell cost by 20-25%, increases chance to critical heal by 15% and increases the chance to critical heal on a heal over time by 20%.
  • Druid's Spirit of the Black Wolf now reduces spell cost by 20-25%, increases chance to land a critical hit with detrimental spells by 10%, increases critical spell damage by 50%, increases critical DoT chance by 10% and critical DoT damage by 50%
  • Shaman's Rabid Bear proc now has a -50 disease resist modifier and a -50 disease resist check on the proc
  • Shaman's Rabid Bear can now increase the stat cap of Str and Dex by 25/50/75

Can run through ToV in a respawning instance so there is no trash and there's only ever 1 mob I've ran into that sees invis on the run towards BB.

So name me some FOTM class combos. What would you guys roll up if given a chance again?
Almost anything with Ranger is busted, futureproof, and chill as fuck. RNG/BER/CLR, RNG/BRD/PAL, RNG/BRD/SK, RNG/BRD/WIZ, etc.

Archery is just totally broken because EQs ancient code is dogshit and it lets them proc shit like madmen - which will be even more insane if they add other proc AUGs. And the devs excuse for the imbalance with archery vs. other white damage is, "lololol theyd dunt git atks n sheeeit". They'll scale insanely well too, because Bard still doesn't really have v3 overhaste yet (they will soon), Bards get some GREAT songs come PoP, and bows pop the fuck off in PoP as well. Just about everything involving Ranger is super scalable, same with Bard.

ROGs and DRUs got some really juicy buffs too though. So, I'm rerolling my WAR/NEC/SHM to SK/ROG/SHM. I already did the NEC to ROG and I'll do the WAR to SK once the cooldown is up with the free class change we're getting tomorrow.

They also really shook things up for white damage characters with the stacking SPA buffs. So, it adds some interesting choices/synergies to classes which used to share SPA buffs, because now they can be stacked. It even allows for PAL to have some synergy with CLR now, since Holyforge will stack with Divine Avatar.

Is it possible to kill sleeper with pal monk sham? I have 2000 aa and mostly near bis loot. I just damage so slow with shield and 1hander.

Any advice is appreciated

I geared up a RNG/BRD/CLR with 1000 AA, then went to clear NToV and it was slow as shit compared to SK/ROG/WIZ. Even single boss kills with all cooldowns was slower and tabbed out half the time because it was so dull.

Im thinking Ranger/SK/Bard or Ranger/SK/rogue because I hear poisons proc from bow and if you stand close enough to mobs you can even backstab, lol. I know the SK/Rogue/Shaman is super powerful. Even a noob like me can do it, lol.

I also have a cleric/shadowknight/bard I leveled to 35 and got him like 50 AA or so during the exp weekend we had. But IDK that the bard brings enough to the table. At least at those levels. I do like the SK for the sustain and healing though.

Nerfs and luclin in 12 hours (hype!)

Cleric's Divine Avatar has been scaled down, but remains one of the most powerful AA's in the game. Duration reduced to 2 minutes. Melee damage bonus and proc chance reduced to 100.
- Pet's now have a hard cap on how much Flurry, Crit, Crit Damage, and Proc rate they can access (75%/75%/75%/100)
- Wizard AA Improved Familiar no longer gives stacking critical spell damage (Total decrease of 7.8% with all crit damage buffs going.)

there's talk in the sk/rog/shm discord thread that sk/dru/shm might be the future

I have seen some duel wield with a 2h. I tried it on my sk/rog/shm but it wouldn't let me equip anything in the offhand. Is this a warrior only capability through AA?

Yeah, RNG/BRD/CLR or RNG/BRD/PAL is definitely on the slower side, outside of Trueshot and Guardian of the Forest cooldowns. But it can pump pretty good, especially if you have DA/Trueshot/GotF/Auspice of the Hunter all up at once. Then if you burn your mana bar tossing out DDD from the Bard? It's a pumper.

Less so with PAL, but all those builds are safe as hell. I can practically afk Sleeper with my SK/RNG/BRD.

rog/sk/shm is a dot build; if you want a non-dot version, i've seen an atk-focused Mnk/sk/shm do really well; shm in that build just heals, slows, buffs and cooldowns.

I didn't try chain casting DDD on single target because the toon's SP is only 215. Gear focus was on getting to 125 HDex, but was also a bit lacking, with 5 slots that need leveled up to lego, but after two or three NToV clears I switched to gearing out a Zrk/MNK/CLR instead.
