Even without the internet, yes, I'm pretty sure that after trying for 20 years that humans could get it running again. How little faith do you have in your fellow man? There's a university just a few day's ride away for textbooks.

But you just got done saying you were joking about it, pointing out that you had been trying to tell everyone that this was a TV show, but when I say "well you admit you can't do it" then all of a sudden it wasn't a joke and this has nothing to do with a tv show? So we're back to you actually thinking that you could keep a hydroelectric turbine and all the electrical components to disseminate that power to a small town. Even though we've established that without lube these turbines won't work, and the lube doesn't last even close to 20 years.

The pieces are already there and there is probably manuals on site that list every single repair and startup procedure along with some repair parts.
Not out of the question given years.
Not to mention for their little town they would only need a few % of production.
