Absolutely no need for a sequel. I wouldn't mind if they went in the "different characters, same universe" direction, but I'm perfectly okay with not seeing Joel or Ellie again. At least, not directly seeing them.I genuinely wonder how well it's done sales-wise. While I know it's selfish, I really can't help but feel the need for a sequel with Joel and Ellie. I know, I know, the game wrapped up that part of their story so well, and it'd be so easy to screw it up, but still... They were such interesting and gripping characters, and I feel that there's a metric shit-ton of unexplored potential there if Druckmann keeps up his brilliance.
Eh? Joel was apparently a massive dick in his backstory. It would completely not be about "saving people" for a majority. They should do a prequel of "The Last of Us". Throughout the game, Joel reminds people of what he's done to save them. I would really like to see what he's talking about. Get a backstory of his life.
Joel was a massive dick because that's what it takes to keep people alive. It's a known fact that he was a bandit at least for a short while. Hell, in the beginning of the game he and Tess are selling drugs and guns and shit.Eh? Joel was apparently a massive dick in his backstory. Oh no, it absolutely doesn't NEED it, hence me calling it selfish. Still though, don't you think that Druckmann would be able to get more out of Ellie and Joel? I know it's hard to imagine it this close to you finishing it, probably, but I personally trust the guy.Absolutely no need for a sequel. Nothing in his covered stuff implies he was looking out for anyone beyond himself and Tess previous to Ellie.Joel was a massive dick because that's what it takes to keep people alive. They can. Just lay one punch into the guy and keep moving around while they take them down.I think your AI partners can still die if you don't help them when they're pinned, but I never actually let that happen so I don't know for sure.
How intense is that feeling when you can just die over and over and just get reset to a save spot 30 seconds in the past?Man, you seriously missed out by doing that. A big portion of the experience in the game is feeling that you are just trying to survive as you play. It's a massive part of the atmosphere that just can't be translated to watching it.
I'm pretty sure that this is my Game of the Generation.
Pretty intense, unless you suffer from a complete inability to suspend your disbelief. I for one was tense throughout nearly the entire game. How intense is that feeling when you can just die over and over and just get reset to a save spot 30 seconds in the past?
Except he kept his brother alive until his brother got tired of doing whatever it is Joel was doing. They just barely touch on that, but they do.Nothing in his covered stuff implies he was looking out for anyone beyond himself and Tess previous to Ellie.
