we all get super pissed when distributors get all involved in the actual development of games but this is why they exist in the first place. to get involved in order to stop a developer from getting their heads so far up their own ass that they shit out their mouth.

On top of that, troy Baker recently talked about Druckman directing the first one. He said the whole scene where Joel's daughter is playable was meant to just be a quick cutscenes but Druckman wanted her to be playable and to see what's going on from her perspective in order to bring more life to the character so that you empathized with Joel. I mean, that whole first section of the game is like maybe 20 minutes but it's some of the best story telling around.

So I don't know... I think Abby's story COULD be interesting... We ALL knew that Joel killing that Dr at the end was him selfishly damning the world, and there's fallout from that. When I played it, I was under no illusion that it was the good choice.

But again,based on the leaks... Joel and Ellie deserve better.

I distinctly remember that the Doctor said that Ellie was not the first immune they had found and vivisected.

I am guessing the Sony exec was gunshy about sticking his nose in the studio. They did that during God of War recently and did not like what they saw, nearly halting development on it as a result. But in that case, the devs were right and the game was awesome/sold well. So my guess is the same execs were thinking "dont fuck with our perfect IP" and were not keeping an eye on Druckmann and so they are finding out about this shitshow the same time the rest of us were. The fact that there is no trace of it on the PS Store on Monday right when the poop tsunami started is pretty telling that they were caught flat footed.

Whole thing is a giant fuckup and object lesson on why you NEVER let SJWs have any degree of control of a project. This is going to make ME:Andromeda look pedestrian in comparisson. Fucking up a masterpiece IP at this level has not been done, outside of Last Jedi, ever in my recollection. And all for politics.
