They stopped scoring games a while back. The reviewer did not enjoy the game though, the main argument being that it is relentlessly dark and violent to the point it becomes impossible to read it like the commentary or rumination on violence the authors wanted it to be.

yeah most days i wouldn't mind at all a dark/violent/depressing game but after 3 months of covid 19 thats just not something i have any desire to sit through 30 hours of. i wanna play super mario odyssey, i wanna play weird weeaboo anime shit
i did listen to a couple of spoiler free reviews on random podcasts over the last day and every one of them completely dances around the story but says the gameplay and music and visuals are fantastic. pretty interesting.
its a pretty simple line in the sand for me, i'm not gonna play a game where I have to play as a tranny. its crazy that sometime in the last year something flipped where saying that in many public spaces - twitter, reddit, most internet forums, a coffee shop, etc - will get people around you mad, doxxed, etc. Crazy times. I guess in the next 5 years saying you won't get ass fucked by a tranny will also get you driven out of society, feel bad for kids growing up. how fucked up is dating going to be in 2030.
I still don't know if that whole tranny thing is true or not and I don't really care at this point, i'll watch streams next week and find out for myself.

They dance around the story because they aren't allowed to talk about most of it. Supposedly all of the tranny section is under embargo and all of these reviews went actual full reviews as a result.

If it was done organically then who would really care. But Neil druckman has proven to be a sjw faggot that supports anita sharkhead. He hamfisted in a lesbian plot and a tranny plot because it's so brave. That's the big problem. He's making a statement with the game that didn't need to be made.

I think Kotaku stopped giving scores to games awhile back, but the reviewer said they didn't like the game that much. Also, yes, the masterpiece reviews love the story that will challenge your beliefs! You know that is what you want from a game!

Looks like someone uploaded the full Joel death scene to YouTube. I didn't watch it, but based on the comments, Joel acts totally out of character giving his name, Tommy's name, the location of their settlement, directly to Abby, who immediately kills him because of who he is. Quite a bit of outrage there. They just ignore that fact that he was super cautious with who he would trust for the last several decades.

Don't forget the best part about Cuckmann: he claims to be an uber-feminist Anita-bootlicker today, but he was pretty much single-handedly responsible for forcing out the real talent behind Naughty Dog's success to further his own goals: Amy Hennig. I guarantee you we would never have seen shit like this if she had been the director of Last of Us. Uncharted 4 would have been very different too for that matter.

again, simple line in the sand. I think transgender is a huge mental illness and while I am totally a "let and live let" kinda guy, I don't care what they do in their personal lives, I don't support anything that encourages normalizing that kind of behavior and paying $60 to support "representation" of trannies is beyond the pale for me, personally.
I don't care what other people do, if everyone wants to be a tranny supporter then whatever, guess I'm a Muslim now or something.

From the comments, it didn't seem like that was the case here. What I read, implied it was just Joel, Tommy, and Abby + 6 other armed people or so. Not sure if Tommy died too. It was supposedly fairly congenial until Joel said his name and then everyone got serious and Abby wrecked him. And then a guy that looks like Neil Druckman spit on Joel's body.
