Was a good story, and I recently played the remastered version on PS4. I forgot the original was PS3 lol.

I'll wait for the reviews before buying at full price. But it's not a day 1 for me.

Totally agree, TLoU 1 was one of my favorite games for many of the same reasons you listed. The world itself and all of the things you discover along the way, and I really liked Joel's character. Someone who doesn't really give a shit about the world as a whole, but would do anything to protect the people he does care about. To me Ellie was always a side character that is mainly interesting in how she interacts with Joel. Obviously given that I am not a fan of the direction they appear to have went with TLoU2, and I don't plan on picking this up until it hits about $20 (if ever).

i don't know what this is alluding to but i remember a game reviewer said he had a list of stuff he couldn't talk about in his review for TLOU1

With 79 critic reviews so far, it is sitting at 96/100 on metacritic right now. That is just hilarious. Only 3 review sites gave it a 7/10 (all exactly the same!), IGN Japan, some Christian review site, and Game Revolution.

TLOU2 will suck ass, we all know that. But, at the same time.. you really can't expect ND/Sony to allow reviewers to show or talk about playing as the tranny. That's just a major story spoiler that comes literally out of left field. While I think it's a lame plot, I understand why they're only letting them talk about Ellie. Same goes with showing most of the game - if you're playing tranny for 10 hours and you can't talk about it, certainly you can't show it either.

If you know the spoilers, listening to his review you can tell we will hate it. The revenge plot. The shitty story. And he didn't even touch on the SJW of it all.

Comparing it to GOT S8 made me laugh out loud

I tried playing the Last of Us a couple times and just could not get into it. Not quite sure why, but it never really gelled for me like other games have.

All of the forced slow walking at the beginning is what pissed me off. Absolutely hate when games do that

Nah, they can't even mention that you are forced to play as someone other than Ellie, and every other review I've watched don't even mention that they were not allowed to talk about that section at all. So those reviews are not even being honest about their limited review at all. It is quite easy to simply say to the viewer "Ok, we're going to talk about a portion of the story that has major spoilers, so if you want to avoid it, stop watching or watch our spoiler review". None of the 10/10, 9/10, Masterpiece reviews I've seen has done that.

He also mentions that the leaked spoilers are only a tiny portion of the game, which is untrue, as that part where you play as someone other than Ellie is about 10hrs long, out of a 25-ish hour game.
