There is no button. They have to submit their request to the organization, like Verizon or whoever, who can challenge it based on some process that none of us know anything about because the DoJ hasn't yet given these companies authority to release more specific information. None of these individuals are American citizens unless they meet the intel oversight requirements established years and years ago. The sky really isn't falling. I mean, we should be wary, of course. But blowing this up is not the answer.
What made you think there is no button? cause they tell you so? Snowden said they could read everyones mailbox if they really wanted to and it looks like the brits just tapped the whole fibre, so noone needed to know beforehand anyway. And when the island monkeys can do that why should the us agencies be incapable of? How you see this whole tip of an iceberg not as an huge civil rights problem is really beyond me, like fool me once, fool me twice, allright.

Chaos is a shill for the NSA. Every semi-popular US bbs has one.

Quick... Trace his IP.

Just because Chaos hasnt witnessed a button doesnt mean theres isnt one waiting to be pressed.
I havent witnessed FoH slaying Nagafen either, but im confident they may have done it.

Well Snowden seems pretty spot on with what he come forth up to now.
Ask yourself how often have you been straight on lied to by the politicians (also those that claim to be in charge of this)?

What would Snowden have to win by making this all up? I cant think of much being exiled / stuck in big trouble china.
Then ask yoursef what the gubbernment has to win by straight denying everything?
Prolly notice a pattern here.
Cui bono? Yes cui bono?

If you think Snowden isn't benefiting from this you are pants on your head retarded. He has people clamoring to sponsor him. Every time he opens his mouth his stock rises 1%.

Who benefits? Half of what we say and claim on this forum doesn't really benefit us but we make outlandish claims because it amuses us and we think we can possibly convince the rest of the forum that we aren't straight up lying but embellishing.

Since you have a hardon for "cui bono" what does chaos benefit from denying Snowden is right?

The only reason I can come up with for no one being able to find this button is because its a clitoris.

Chaos: Confirm or deny by blinking once for yes, and twice for no.

Like I said having worked in a government switchboard after 9/11 they just don't do it. They do the paperwork, it's not hard. They bring the evidence they have and a judge gives them a warrant. They follow the letter as much as possible and 99.9% of the time it's done correctly.
I told you where they blanket copy all communications traffic, it was on 60 minutes, the private company that houses the sea cables that go across the pacific / atlantic, did you work in those buildings for those private companies? this is a private/gov marriage

I have been in dozens of commercial switchboards and most of the military ones. I won't claim being in every single one and seeing every single room everywhere. What I can say is that you have never ever been in one. You haven't worked at a switchboard for 10 years. You have no frame of reference for any knowledge except some special you saw on TV that obviously didn't prove anything and just brough up a lot of speculation is all.

You aren't able to claim knowledge at all when every other time you post I refute what you say and you have to edit it out because you have no idea what you are talking about.

Seems pretty spot on based on what? He released some documents, ok. Now he is talking like he is an expert on not just PRIZM, but all NSA and intelligence related systems and laws. This guy is an analyst with a bare few years of experience, but on the internet he's an all knowing demi-god of intelligence prowess andevery single personwho questions or contradicts him is wrong and stupid. He just says things like "We can tap any phone" and that seems pretty spot on? He says all of the companies involved are lying, but provides nothing other than his word to back it up.

I think people are desperate to believe anything negative that they read, because it confirms their fears. I think they accept it with no critical thought and no objective analysis. If Snowden releases documents proving this bullshit he's saying, I'll eat my fucking hat bros. And then go on to criticize the NSA for putting the most retarded, stupidest fucking plan into reality that I could possibly imagine. Just primed and ready for abuse. But I doubt he will, because he's making it up.

There was no speculation they where in the copying room and was told exactly what it does, it's been reported in other area's and it makes perfect logical sense, but like fucking religion you just can't see the truth for what it is and keep trying an infinite retreating argument by constantly narrowing the scope of the argument, that conveniently allows you to have tunnel vision.

Infinite retreating argument?

You don't understand what you are even talking about. You brought up derivative classification as some kind of proof of who knows what ...... are you kidding me?

You don't even know what you don't know it's so pathetic and laughable.

Gave the answer yourself there half the forum likes to "play pranks" on it for the lulz of it, could be possible here as well, its the mangina part of the intarwebz, remember.
As far as have fun with the gift of sponsoring i have a hard time imagining, thats something to strife for when your stuck in a foreign country in an unknown hotel/shithole/whatever with the possiblity of never seeing your friends & family again. Esp when you were raking in what? 200k a year with a ballerina gf living on fucking hawaii with not much more to show of than a hs diploma.

So you're admitting that in addition to being a complete nobody at the NSA, Snowden is a fucking dumbass?

How many more reasons do you need not to listen to him?

If you think a sponsor won't be paying him more than 200k a year for his knowledge not to mention whatever women he can find or they might even ship her to him if he isn't enjoying the endless stream of asian hookers the Chinese give him you are still stupid.

So whats your 200k+ worth it when you cant spent it cause your in a cell? what are all these chinese hookers good for when they keep on torturing your for that knowledge you presumably possess? why even risk that kinda hassle when you can live a happy life on hawaii? That guy is no longer in control of his own life, also he might not see it yet.
At this moment in history odds are pretty good mr Snowden will be way worse off than he ever has.

He will probably end up like that but he doesn't see it right now and every time he opens his mouth he sees dollar signs. This isn't a guy known to really think things through.

I posted this in politics may 6th before the scandal broke how close was I to the information released?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellar_wind_(code_name)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NSA_call_database

The existence of this database and the NSA program that compiled it was unknown to the general public until USA Today broke the story onMay 10, 2006.[1] It is estimated that the database contains over 1.9 trillion call-detail records.[2] According to Bloomberg News, the effort began approximatelyseven months before the September 11(???), 2001 attacks

http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/201...nsadatacenter/

-------------------------

Here is the room I was talking about

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_641A

The very existence of the room was revealed by a former AT&T technician, Mark Klein, and was the subject of a 2006 class action lawsuit by the Electronic Frontier Foundation against AT&T.[5] Klein claims he was told that similar black rooms are operated at other facilities around the country.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontl.../telecoms.html

It is still unclear which telecoms have cooperated with the NSA program. On May 11, 2006, USA Today reported that the NSA was collecting Americans' phone calls into a massive database and was getting the data directly from AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth; BellSouth and Verizon both disputed the report. In February 2006, the online publication CNET asked large telecommunications and Internet companies about their involvement in the NSA. Fifteen denied involvement and 12, including AT&T, chose not to reply.

Only one major company, Qwest, announced its refusal to turn over any communications to NSA. The attorney of then-CEO Joseph N. Nacchio issued a statement. "In the fall of 2001 . Qwest was approached to permit the government access to the private telephone records of Qwest customers. Mr. Nacchio made inquiry as to whether a warrant or other legal process had been secured in support of that request. When he learned that no such authority had been granted and that there was a disinclination on the part of the authorities to use any legal process, including the special court which had been established to handle such matters, Mr. Nacchio concluded that these requests violated the privacy requirements of the Telecommications Act. Accordingly, Mr. Nacchio issued instructions to refuse to comply with these requests."

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontl...d&continuous=1

Here are the PBS frontlines (great show) there are like 5 of them, I believe it's the one about AT&T someone flat out says a lot of phone calls are recorded and they can choose to go back and look at whatever they want.

I believe all cell phone calls (because they wirelessly transmit), and all out of country calls are definatly recorded, land line domestic i'm not reasonably sure about.

This is one place where the blanket copying of information occurs a room inside an at&t office copies every signal that comes across the sea wires
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_641A

Room 641A and the controversies surrounding it were subjects of an episode of Frontline, the current affairs documentary program on PBS. It was originally broadcast on May 15, 2007. It was also featured on PBS's NOW on March 14, 2008. The room was also covered in the PBS Nova episode "The Spy Factory"

They tried to tell us few people are listening. watch frontline "spying on the home front" may 15, 2007

Yeah thats exactly the problem we are facing now, we have no reliable source but his word on it an the handful of documents he has shown for what they are worth.
The side he paints to be the bad guys, wouldnt do a tabula rasa here since its all top secret stuff lol, and if they told us they prolly had to ship us all to guantanamo or such.
So its just a matter of who believe in the most. And prolly noone can proof his side was right all along.
If for one always believed that possibilty to have access to worthy knowledge will always corrupt the ohso righteous ones, into (mis-)using that knowledge.
