Am I the only person here who plays a tele? I've been trying to work back into it with my hands. Will take some time. At least my calluses are kind of still there since I prick my fingers multiple times a day.

It's a bunch of metal people here. Tele is the opposite of the sound most people go for. I thought about getting one, but I think my next guitar is gonna be a gold top.

I have one I use for slide. Not quite happy with the neck pickup in it right now, it's an SD quarter pounder, huge ass single coil. Was ok for al plucking but really sucks for slide. I think I'm going to put in another mini bucker like I have in the bridge.

Speaking of bridges, I have a Babicz bridge in it and the thing has sustain for days.

I never really got into teles much, even when I was heavy into blues and southern rock. I'd like one one day just to have one in my arsenal though.

My ex-wife got me tickets to go see Satriani on Sunday and, man, was it a blast. His band was excellent and he played a great combo of classics and stuff from the new album. Evening even had a GIANT goombah fighting with security and getting thrown out on his ass. Great times Coquitlam!

Oh, I also won 8 bucks playing D&D slots in the casino before the show.

Win Win!

P.S. To be totally honest, I also banged my ex-wife after the show. So that's Win Win Win if we are really counting.

Check this dude out if you like George Lynch, bitchin' JMP-1 tone, and glorious 80's superstrats. And if you don't like those things, well fuck you. This is awesome.

Couple things bothered me about that video. Unless it's a joke the guy is trying too hard (ultimate warrior deltoid strap, skull glove on one hand, weird head nodding)

Things that didn't annoy me, the fender hm strat. My friend that died mained one of those.

Talking about guitars, connecting with other community members who are musicians, helping new players get the best gear to keep them playing and sharing original songs

Saw this hadn't been rezzed yet. I'm still using the same stuff as I have been for a while now instrument-wise but I picked up the new MXR reverb pedal and it's absolutely amazing. All digital but you honestly couldn't tell if you didn't see it. Blows my Holy Grail set out of the water in every aspect.

Also, for any newbies looking into getting some decent gear that doesn't cost a ton I grabbed a 5w Gretsch tube amp for carrying around or playing outside of my music room and this little thing screams. It's got nice warmth and, just like tube, really shines when it gets turned up. Dials are lacking but for a practice amp I'm loving this one.

I play, don't know what to put up here. But my gear is a Squier Jagmaster, Gibson SG brown faded. Twosome dualfuzz, a 80's rat, Empress Superdelay, TU-2 tuner, earthquaker devices Disaster transport (delay), Malekko spring chicken reverb and a 100 w Hughes and kettner dual tone tube amp. Marshall kabinett. Was heavy into pedals for a while, but pretty happy with my setup atm-. Love most the SG and the amp, can't beat a real tube amp for warmth. So sexy

Edit: and a "brick" for powersupply

Still playing - learning songs for a Dismember cover session on Halloween with some guys.

Had to pick up a Boss HM-2 pedal (CAN OF BEES) and it's the worst sounding pedal I've ever heard, but the band used it so we are too.

My rig now is a Caparison Dellinger (BKP Sinner neck and Black Winter bridge) -> Peavey 6505+ -> Marshall 4x12. I also have a '76 Gibson Les Paul Custom I don't play often.
