well, as of next week you can get 3x AMD 290Xs for ~$2100, for the same(if not better) performance as $3000 worth of Titans. Shit moves quickly, and drops in price quickly. That performance mark has already dropped in price by 1/3 in about 6 months.

Without getting all into it...They just sound amazing with high quality music formats/recordings and equipment. They are on par with $4000 dollar headphones. Some say better.

Once you hear them, you can see why they cost $1500. My buddy owns a pair, and soon as he let me listen to some Louis Armstrong and James Brown with them, I wanted a pair.

One of my best friends is an audiophile and I absolutely hate him sometimes for it, I never thought my shit sounded like some bush league Walmart shit until I spend a day at his house.

A younger me would have bought those headphones in a second no questions asked but now I'm content with my Astro's and pocketing the 1200 bucks, kickass that you're not settling on low budget shit.

So much fucked up hype marketing out there too though. Most people believe audiophile grade equipment is their Bose or whatever shittastic setup they bought from Best Buy. It's always amusing seeing the big looks of astonishment when they hear my HT setup, then the look of utter disappointment when they realize they were lied to about their own setups.

LOL! I love this too. Especially with Beats. Most of my friends are into those Beats by Dre headphones, and swear they sound like nirvana. They listen to my headphones, and you can see that they know, they could have spent their money on a better set of cans.

I have a bud who bought those 600 dollar Beats? Came to my house to show them off. I let him listen to some Denon 2k's, and he would not admit no matter what he heard that the Denon's were superior.

Beats are the doucheist headphones and I couldn't even tell you why, I like a lot of their design choices but I would never own any. I get the same vibe from them that I get from Monster cables, gouging the consumer just because they can.

I would like to check out some of those badass headphones but I know I'd hate life afterwards.
