Christmas getting expensive.

Went to a friend's house while back home for Christmas. So of course, wife saw their Litter Robot and now we had to have one, so Merry Christmas cats.

So I got a Ninja Creami for Christmas. I had been wondering if it was worth it for a while. I scanned the QR code to see recipes and it was full of random trash (like 30 recipes with Jell-o). Tried to search online and it's all AI garbage. Anyway found 'basic' recipe and it was stuff like vanilla extract, whole milk and heavy cream. Went to grocery store and a tiny box of heavy cream is almost $4.

So this thing is going back. Don't know why I would spend $14 to make a $3 pint of ice cream.

I almost bought one of those too but I know I'd use it like 5 times and then never again

What recipes do you use. In my mind I was like damn I can make my own Ben and Jerries pints. But the economics don't make sense right now.
I make low cal protein ice cream similar to Halo top. Use low fat Fairlife milk or almond milk, throw in a scoop of protein powder, some sugar free jello mix.

People post a lot of good recipes on the Reddit page.

Obviously the Creami is expensive, but it is cheaper and a healthier alternative than buying pints on B&J's.
