This show title is wrong, should be called the tripping living.
The amount of facepalms i did for every character falling down over slippy grass during the first few minutes nearly gave me a concussion.

This is where, once again, Z Nation actually surpasses TWD. Just this last episode they showed a Mexican drug cartel that put zombies in big containers and lets them compost. As he explained it, compost creates heat, and heat creates energy. Bam! Can't explain that!

Am I the only one that noticed the shitty "Mom" kid's action figures at the beginning? Those were Invincible, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, and Allen the Alien. Nice easter egg from someone on the staff at least, even if that kid is pants on head retarded.
Heh, yea this is what I like about Z Nation. They don't take themselves seriously when lulz things happen, but yet they still apply a bit of logic to the circumstances. Another episode this season had people using zombies chained up in a circle to create power, i.e. a circular treadmill basically. The acting and plot is pretty silly, so I don't like it 'more' thenWalkingDead, I kind of wish I could get a hybrid of the two. I mean, they've been traveling to California via Nevada>Wisconsin>Alabama>Mexico.. and the plot devices they used to explain why also have some pretty big holes in it, but I don't care as much because the show doesn't take itself seriously.

At this point, if any Zombie based show/movie uses slow moving zombies, it will always have some eyeroll moments.

Best example I got is last year when Z Nation had the super speed zombies. Viagra Zombies in a drug packaging warehouse. TWD just randomly has slow Z's, fast Z's and whatever ninja Z's without any consistency.

Z Nation is both more silly and more serious than TWD at the same time. It's honestly a much better show.

Watchmen was also 3 hours of absolutely nothing happening so he'll fit right in with this show

The movie yes, but he was a fantastic Comedian. Him and Jackie Earl Haley were great in it. It's not their fault "visionary" director Zack Snyder made that movie as moribund as possible.

Predictions:

1) Annoying kid dies OR mother tries to make him STFU and she ends up dying instead (probably both)

2) Gun the mother has drops. Derp teenager grabs it and tries to shoot Rick and/or Carl. Carl survives, but Judith dies (either hit by bullet or she falls on ground and zombies munch her...bullet would probably be the least controversial method, because they could make it so they don't find out until later and it is a "quiet" death)

3) Priest fucks up and dies (we can all hope)
My prediction: Nothing happens at all and episode 9 starts with them talking to Glenn about what had happened.

Looks like a nice place to live from the birds eye perspective. Is that a real community or did they just build it for the show? I'd assume the former.

Seems like commercial/industrial zoning, so I am guessing they built it for the show for the most part. Woodbury they used a real town, but that limits what you can do. If you own the town, so to speak, it lets you take full advantage of everything. Plus, even in the comics this town sticks around for a long ass time, so cost wise it makes sense to have a long term set like this.

Most of the houses are owned by people who actually live there. Even during filming they have to stop when service personal/mail carriers and newspaper cars come through.
Also you can see Woodbury from Alexandria. They are that close. The cast and crew literally still walk to Woodbury for coffee. Has to be odd.
How did they pull off filming rights into this development property that people live in? The developer who owns it also owned the studio property the prison was built on for season 3/4.

Edit to add- They did build the walls obviously and the original permit expired last Monday but they have options to renew the wall annually until 2019.
The residents don't like the wall as it is 15 feet tall and ugly but they get some compensation. Most residents live elsewhere during the filming months but some remain. Several of the houses are empty/for sale or not complete but a new person buying there has to agree to conditions now until they are done with the location.

I don't even know if this is new news:

Lauren Cohan now has short hair, soperhapsa spoiler, does Maggie die soon???

Or just get her hair cut in the show, either one could happen.

She did do it IRL for some role in a film.

I could have swore she did that awhile ago, or did it previously and then grew it out again. Might have just been for a project while the show was done filming for the season, and she'll grow it back out or wear a wig for the show. So, it doesn'tnecessarilymean anything for the show. Actually, does she cut her hair in the comics? I can't remember now.

Short hair doesn't mean much. Natalie Dormer had her Hunger Games haircut, but she just uses a wig for GoT.

Saw the guy who played Herschel at a convention Sunday and it got me thinking. The show always has that one high moral character trying to hang onto humanity as they knew it. Like Dale before him and since Herschel got his head lobbed off it seems to me you can make the argument that they have made Glen the high moral character with him always trying to do the "right" thing. Morgan could be another candidate, but he is a bit fanatical, I really thought he was going to be redeeming Rick in this season, but Morgan still isn't right himself. So truly I think Glen is that guy, which is just another reason to add to Glen's chances of not surviving seeing what they've done to that character in the past.
