They could easily have 16 episodes a year of holy shit stuff because the content is unlimited, even limited to comic line. They could do anything they want and still follow the timeline.
Instead the spend 14 episodes a year propping up 2 basically.
The part that really has rustled me the past year is they pat each other on the back how great they are doing and cool that stupid twist was no one cared about was just soooooo awesome.

Edit- and no. The Gov was my favorite character in the whole series. Many don't feel that way though.

I respectfully disagree. I rather LOVE that Rick's group got owned by a REAL sinister NWO. Negan is one bad mother fucker and I love it. Would be amazing if they somehow killed Rick & the group off and focused the show on Negan's savagery in this brave new world. Of course that would never happen showing the true brutality of a ravaged landscape but one can dream.

true and i love that rick's crew got buttfucked. but i also want these guys to brush themselves off and fight back. some of that started to happen tonight, they took their fucking time though and it was still boring cept for negan ironing out some problematic savior.

Caught up. Watching the new episode as we speak. The Governor was a piece of shit. Negan is the most charismatic villain by far.

So why did Negan expose himself to danger and why didn't Carl shoot Negan the second he saw him? Because he couldn't die this soon of course, but I think this was one of the more ridiculous plot holes.

Daryl. They made it a point to show Daryl in his A for asshole prison outfit in the walker area and made sure it showed Carl saw him.
As for Negan exposing himself, he is arrogant. That will one day probably be a big thing but no more on that I suspect for a long time.

Shame they didn't speed through the comics more. When the TV show came on episode 1 the comics were already in Alexandria basically season 6 episode 1 is where the comics were when the TV started in 2010 and could have started having some influence on the comics. By the time they knew the TV show was a hit the comics were up to basically pre Negan.

It's hard to say what influence that had on Kirkman and the writing but at least everything going forward the show bases itself off the comics was at least aware it had a hit on it's hands.
It's easy to forget everything pre Alexandria Kirkman had no idea it would ever be popular on TV and have millions of watchers.

They should just kill off Rick and crew and make Negan the main character for the rest of the show. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is acting circles around the rest of the cast. It's almost painful to have a scene with just him and Coral.

That is one of the main reasons why it was a mistake to try to follow the timelines so closely... it is obvious that Carl is not 12 or 13 (thought he was 10 in season 1).

The comics skip 2 full years at one point which is coming up probably after next season in the show timeline that would probably help justify Carl's age better
Then again the show may fill in those 2 years with stories the comics completely skipped. I'm most curious to see how they handle that.

Not sure if that is spoiler or not since it is entirely timeline that may or may not happen in the show and doesn't contain any info what goes on.

Seriously. I cannot agree with the acting circles around them statement even more. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a fantastic actor and is throwing all these panzy asses in the dust. Last night's episode with little boy emo peep solidifies that. Anytime that little brat opened his mouth it was yet another face palm moment where I was hoping Negan would rip his head off. Instead, Jeffrey Dean Morgan saves the day with the acting chops.

However, with that said, the "OH! WELL LOOKIE HERE YOU ARE SURPRISING ME!" is getting a little old anyone talks back to him. It has happened across multiple characters now. Either way, he is by far the best actor on that set.

he's great because what they are giving him to work with is such shit. i dont understand why rick and crew are sticking around after negan took over when they can just keep moving til they leave his reach. so stupid to ever allow themselves to be disarmed.

The actor who plays Carl looks closer to 12 than 17. Christ, has he even hit puberty yet?

At any rate, this show fucking sucks because there's no one to root for. Rick is the most unlikable "hero" in television history.
