EW.com posted some pics from the upcoming episode. Of interest, compare photo #2 with the giant spoiler photos that were posted by that poster earlier. EW photo itself isn't really much a spoiler.

Notice how where Daryl is kinda seems semi-similar to the situation noted in the spoiler photo? Seems like a bunch of people got massacred and Daryl is coming across the aftermath.

If the show's writing was even remotely satisfying, I could write off super-Governor and his episode long odyssey to intercept Andrea just as she was about to yell to Rick. Literally every episode is disappointing, though. And I was pretty lenient on last season and the Sophia search for 7 episodes, I thought it was a step up from S1 which was terribad. I should never have read the comics I guess, I wouldn't have expectations.

I haven't read a single page of the comics and the show is pretty terrible still. At this point, I watch it with my sister every Sunday and it's more about getting to spend time with her and us both making fun of the show than it is about caring about the actual show.

I lost all my fucks for this show when the barn door opened in season 2. i continued to watched out of boredom and some hopes they could turn things around. i was assured from people claiming that to hang in there for season 3 because when they reach the prison, meet The Governor and Michonne, things will become epic awesome and totally craaaaazy.

The prison is just the farm 2.0. The Governor is just a needy bitch and Michonne is just a sneering non entity with hardly any dialogue or backstory to make you care about her.

season 2 had good character development but the show's quality has just plummeted since then. terrible character adaptations, bad acting, and the conflict between woodbury and the prison settlement going absolutely nowhere. i think the criticisms levied against the show are quite fair.

If they reboot this they need to bring back zombie hordes being a real thing that prevents any kind of settlement. A zombie horde should be incoming a few days after every good fort-type thing is found.

they could easily reboot the show by having the stars become zombie killers who travel the country cleaning house, im sure georgia isnt the only 'cheap to film in' state. this show is so popular though i doubt they change their course. game of thrones needs to come back on already.

GoT s2 suffered from many of the same issues this show does. Maybe not the abhorrent writing and massive plot holes but they still did a poor job adapting the source where many of the characters in season 2 just did shit without any character development for their actions.

I think that's pretty harsh. While I agree that season two of GoT was not as good as the first and made some disconcerting story alterations, I couldn't even begin to compare GoT S2 to Walking Dead, which is pretty much terribad in every way. Bad story, bad sets, bad acting, no plot, no advancement-- the list goes on.

Mind you, what do I know. If you check metacritic, season 2 of Got is rated higher than season 1, and Walking Dead is pretty much rated neck and neck with GoT. I just lost hope for humanity.

Season 1 - exciting, especially for TV standards. Whoever said a couple pages back that the CDC episode was the last good one is absolutely correct.

Season 1 still felt like a bit of a letdown to me, apart from the pilot. It's probably because I read all of the comics but I really thought that the CDC and the abuelita nursing home episodes were incredibly out of place and felt like hamfisted attempts at forcing drama to a setting that shouldn't really be lacking in drama or suspense. It took me about a year to finally watch season 2 and that was after reading the thread on FoH and hearing that the show had continued its downhill slide so I basically just watched it out or boredom and the fact that I saw Netflix had added it. I'm at the point right now where it feels like too much effort to even steal this season's finale to watch it. Think I'm done since all signs point to this just not getting any better.

The show isn't really better or worse over any season. Its just different flavors of stupid shit for different seasons.

I just read through the comics (only the two compendiums so far). They thoroughly fucked this series up. Governer, Michonne, Tyreese, Carl... I just don't understand why they deviated so much from the comic.

I'm sure they will fuck Abraham up too

It's just disappointing.
