MCU is a tough decision for kids. The violence is one thing, but I’m not sure I’m ready to talk to them and let them know that minorities are real.

Let them be kids..at least a little bit longer. Don't ruin that innocence.

do you guys even remember hearing gay?

they've been dealing with this shit for years before we were born,

this is probably the first time i heard it in some context, but i couldn't understand it (i was probably 6)

i'm just thinking ok why can't these 3 just live there?

i'm pretty sure they approached the "gay" thing when jack had to "act gay" and in all honesty this probably shaped how i view gays

i'm quickly losing my train of thought b/c watching these clips again, holy shit was john ritter and norman fell amazing.

anyway they'll be exposed to gay shit, but these times gay shit is off the charts crazy

i would have probably vomited if i saw gay kiss another gay on tv, hell i only remember 1 time my dad kissed my mom, when my family wanted to see it for a picture, sometimes being a prude and not showing pda is a good thing.

but the bar keeps getting pushed and pushed further into degeneracy of netflix cuties

I still remember the “gay” talk from my dad. We were at a bbq party, probably around 1990/91, there was a guy there who looked like vanilla ice. He was fun, loud, acting silly, kids all liked him. That was my view of him. After we left my dad and I were talking about him, I said he was funny or something. He asked if I noticed how he was dressed kind of crazy, like he looked literally like vanilla ice, I remember his shirt was shaped like a giant inverted triangle with huge shoulders. I said yeah, then he told me he was gay, and they all kind of dress and act loud like “hey look at me” type of way. For years I only thought someone was actually gay if they dressed like vanilla ice.

Sure. Then don‘t take ‚em to movies then where „heroes“ solve problems by punching people and constantly resort to violence.

It's always been a source of US movies being weird that punching/shooting people is seemingly a much more accepted type of content for kids than a few tits or dicks, lol.

Right, his comment said minorities, not nudity.

i have no memory of ever seeing my parents kissing. they locked the bedroom for for that kind of stuff i assume. i guess its why i never kissed any of my girlfriends in public. you are raised with that mindset. if you have to kiss your significant other around other people, it suggests you lack confidence in your relationships. either way. Three's Company was a great show and i learned a lot about women from it. mostly that brunettes can be hot even with short hair and that blondes have fat tits and are dumb as fuck. that shit is still true.

is that old bitch from whose the boss?
Katherine Helmond was in a lot of things. she was in Time Bandits too. for some reason on Soap and her cameos on Benson she pretended she was some kind of old sexy lady. maybe in the 1930s she was sexy, but by the 70s there wasnt any way anyone would think she was a sexy lady. my favorite character on that show was the dad. Richard Mulligan, he was Soap. well him and Benson. but you wouldnt have Soap without Burt going full crazy.

What kinda pussy ass Puritan 1950s shit is this? I'm not gonna hold back affection from someone I'm with just because I'm in *gasp* public /clutchespearls. I'm sorry your parents were weird, but that shit is not normal, and obviously affected you. Showing affection doesn't mean you lack confidence. Gtfo of here with that snowflake shit. If you're triggered by seeing others being affectionate, that's your issue, not theirs.
