nah, Spidey smooched MJ, Starlord smooched Gamora, i think Ant Man smooched Wasp. it happens often. plus they cant make the gay a major plot point in any movie because that makes it difficult to release in non gay tolerant countries. it all has to be subtle so it can be removed.

I think you're selling their deviousness short. They smack audiences upside the head with The Gay in Thor 4, then when China or whoever doesn't want to show Thor 4, they take the monetary hit and use it as an example of how evil and bigoted the world is while gaining a ton of virtue points as the new standard-bearers of wokeism.

The Birdcage is hilarious
IMO its one of Williams best movies, Nathan Lane also was hilarious. its the only movie i ever could stand him in.
OGs will also remember Billy Crystal playing a gay dude on Soap in the 70s, his mom was the mom on Whose the Boss too
i am currently rewatching all Soap episodes to catch myself up after 40 years. its still an extremely funny show. it would never be allowed to be made in this day and age.
Richard Mulligan was a massively underrated comedic actor.

There were some good / funny gay movies in there or singular gay characters that were funny / decent. Birdcage was good, the gay black guy in Revenge of the Nerds was hilarious, Charles Grodin's character from Woman in Red was pretty fucking funny. But the core issue is always there is a point in being subtle and funny, then there is preaching wokeness. I think the movie Philadelphia is where that line got jumped.
i don't even classify birdcage as a "gay" movie, it was just a great robin williams movie and him being gay was just a premise for a plot

but in 2022 if they remade birdcage, they'd have to but in like 5minutes of hardcore pegging or whatever gays do, to MAKE YOU KNOW, that it's a gay film

MCU phase 4 is not going well for them, they cant use the covid excuse anymore either. their movies suck now and adding gay into them is just going to accelerate that decline. so i dunno how wise that would be for them to pursue.

china is the only asian country that has a stance on gay

it is fucking illegal

look at chinas path, they banned gays

then they banned girly looking boys

now they are banning "boys love"

wtf is boys love? exactly wtf it sounds like, look at this, this is the asian streaming platform for dramas (asian netflix)

the country displayed is of origin, every asian country besides china is making boys love shows, and look at how many pages there are!

i remember in the 90s they released 1 gay movie a year, like the crying game or whatever and it was revolting
I remember the Crying Game being a pretty good movie overall. This was back pre-social media and the tranny surprise really shocked people because they had no idea it was coming.

Tony and Reporter girl (got caught doing a piece for Vanity Fair) got down to some heavy humping in Iron Man 1 (of course this was pre-disney)

I loved that movie. The story was fine and the main character(Fun note, he was also in Stargate) did a great job but I loved it for another reason. The scene that was the big reveal had a fantastic effect. I watched 2 elderly woman nope the fuck out of the theater right after that scene. I just laughed.

i think it was a scene for shock value to get people talking. they could have put an actual woman in the role. otherwise it was a fine movie, a bit boring. maybe thats why they stuck a tranny in there.

Neil Jordan did another film with a tranny starring Cillian Murphy. Jordan is probably a closet tranny.

Tony Stark hooks up with a reporter in Iron Man 1 and it gets a bit...racy (for a comic book movie that is)

No, I remember but that wasn't pre-disney, it was all Disney, was all I was trying to quipily point out.

The Avengers was the first movie Disney distributed, they bought Marvel after Ironman 1 and The Incredible Hulk were already out, I assume had minimal input in Iron Man 2 since it was the next year, and probably a little more input in Thor and Cap 1, but those were also still distributed by paramount.

Oh man, back when men were masculine and shamelessly flirted with women in Marvel movies.

Now that job is only held by King Valkyrie

I am so wrong and misremembered that completely. I thought it was only the Hulk that was caught up at Paramount and that the MCU sales took places in 2008 prior to Iron Man's release. BBZZZZZT. We have always been at war with East Asia and Marvel and Star Wars have always been at Disney, I guess. /s

Iron man came out in 2008 Disney bought Marvel 2010
Iron Man 1 was pre disney
I think up to Cap 1 it was solo Marvel
once disney took over the "no blood" rule came into effect cause in Cap 1 they had that dude thrown into the propeller and he quite quickly turned into a red mist, which I dont think Disney would have allowed

Scene is at about 1:15
