Because media critics are increasingly out of touch with audiences, and review movies based on diversity and other woke metrics

However, I did read a paragraph of the New York post review and it reassured me a little bit.

I'll still go and see it opening night, whereas you'll be flying a cargo plane full of rubber dog dildos outta Hong Kong!

Not on the Shelf, it wasn't done with SFX until 2020, it was a late summer 2020 original release, then kept getting pushed back to christmas 2020, then summer 2021, then christmas 2021, now here we are, a few weeks away.

The best 2 line review I saw was "Better than the original, but we arent talking Paddington 2 over Paddington 1. We are talking Paddington 2 over Morbius"
