The NASCAR fans were probably just made that everyone wanted to quit racing as soon as they suffered a bad accident.

My Brother, former marine, hates Tom Cruise because of A Few Good Men. He does have a case, as they say. His argument is, Cruise demanded the film be made simple, and he is the good guy, and Nicholson's character is the bad guy. That was probably a Hollywood decision, though. Hollywood likes simple.

That film is worth a close watch in order to spot who the true "villain" in the case of Private Santiago's death is. Once you get it, it is pretty clear. Let's just say, he should have turned his stethoscope up to 11. Well, that pretty much gives it away...

Geez, not even just 2022, but summer 2022. It'll be like 3 years after filming wrapped that they release it.

ROFL. These fucking retarded fossils at these studios who think we're going to ever go back to theatres being full. At the very best, half of them will be empty due to passports.

Release it on your platforms, charge $30, and call it good. Simultaneously release it in theatres for the states that haven't yet cucked out.

And yet Netflix will spend 500 million on a 20 year old sitcom.

What a time to be alive.

Demi Moore was the villain in that movie. She did her damnedest to destroy it.

Okay first off - why? Why is this movie? Cruise doesn't need the money? Maybe Scientology is suffering of late and needs an influx of cash.

That being said, I will echo other sentiments that I love Cruise and pretty much ALL of his movies, so I remain reservedly interested.

Here's the thing though. When the original came out, jet fighters and combat was still a cool thing; the cold war was recent, there was still friction with an "enemy" with decently comparable air capability. Fighter sims were all the rage in computer gaming.

But at present, and in comparison to the time of the original, very few give two shits about air warfare, knows much about front line aviation, new designs, what is good at what, etc etc. And, shit, there is no real "enemy" as someone else alluded - if it is "mah Russians" again that will be lame.

Seriously, I was big on all this in the way back, but do they even fly Tomcats anymore? Is it Hornets off the ships now? Do they stage F16s off the carriers as well? And isn't there F19s and F20s of some kind?

Edit - the flight stuff looks boss, can't deny it.

I agree with this. We have no enemies that are even remotely close to competing against us in air combat. Maybe in the movie England wants a rematch for 1776, and they turn against us for some reason. Still wouldn't be much of a fight...

Sure as hell won't be China. Their military tried to show off their air combat prowess a couple of years ago and sent footage from the first Top Gun to their media.

Although this could be just a "training the next class" movie with no war type fighting. Could totally see them setting this up for a Top Gun 3 where they attack conservative America, you know, to drive out the racist evil nazis.

Just saying... Hollywood can't be too far off from making movies about the "righteous killing of conservatives". It's coming.
