lol. As a caregiver I don't have much time to even sit at my computer to game much. Most of my entertainment is through YT, Twitch, Twitter, and here. So eventhough It may seem like I watch a shitload of Vtubers, I really don't. I have subs on Twitch only through gifted subs or my Prime, which usually goes to Penta. Age has nothing to do with noticing that Vtubers are everywhere on the internet.

VTubers are fun!
Some are talented artists and draw on stream, some are complete boneheads and say stupid stuff, some are born comedians and make you laugh. None of them are particularly good at games. There are no shrouds etc that I know of.
It is great for the girls because they can hide behind the model and still have a normal life. Fans can get really obsessive / weird.
I've really enjoyed the last month or so with the holoEN girls being in japan, and having adventures. Most of them have very little language skill, so the ones that can speak well are guiding the others around. Gura's stories about trying to figure out the bathroom were really funny.
Hololive has an indonesian branch as well, and I think most of those speak native / jp / english. Ollie from there did an apex tournament a few days ago and it was total chaos with 15 girls speaking 3 languages all trying to talk at the same time
