Besides the whole streamer aspect, this was exactly what was happening all the time back during the mmo golden age. People would post pages and pages of arguing shit on some message boards about who was actually the best and whatever else(can't remember the name of the message boards I used back then, vboard or something? Pretty sure there was a v in there, it closed so many years ago google isn't helping but during UO/AC days it was constant flamewars over there about whose dick was bigger). Only difference is now people can actually make money off it, so obviously they'll make a lot of "content" about any piece of drama to drum up some views, while before your only reward was knowing you had totally pwned that noob with your 5000words essay multiquoting his post to bits. That is until they woke up and did the same thing back to you.
