And you are wrong about something else. When someone does this, nearly all of their identity is wrapped into being a trans person. I think MsB was the only one that stuck solely to nerd discussion, with his fake funbags coming up only occasionally. Ms B was a good tranny. He posted about gamer shit, could take a joke, and did not shine a spotlite on his tranny hobby 24/7.

One area Hodj is dead right on is pointing out the folly of being a tranny and a creationist. Individually those stances are things you might or might not support in a vacuum. But for two diametrically conflicting world views to exist in the same person with complete adherence? That's a sign of deeper issues, and where I started loosing interest in engaging Van. How can you engage someone who won't even acknowledge fundamental conflicts in their deeply held personal viewpoints? Short answer, you can't. All you can do is point out the insanity to others so that they can draw their own conclusions. Direct dialog is impossible, because you are dealing with a cultist, an insane person, or some combination of the two.

Heh in all seriousness, I'll actually devote the time to destroy your post reply to you, however, since I'm not pissed off like I was the last time you waltzed in here and joined the dogpile. First paragraph besides one quote merely restates your position that puberty-blockers are bad, and people have no clue what the long term effects are of using puberty blockers. Let's, for starters, get familiar with something both you guys and myself have failed to address: Precocious Puberty.

Puberty blockers (yes the same puberty blockers used on trannies) are the exact same meds (called GnRH agonists) used for Precocious Puberty as transgender youth.

In this paper's summary, it states:

"The available data indicate that therapy with GnRH analogs can improve final height into the range of target height without significant adverse short-term and long-term effects, but longer follow-up of larger series of patients is still required to draw definitive conclusions."

They're saying puberty blockers are safe, but need more research to draw definitive conclusions (amazing, I've been saying from the word GO that we need to study all of this more). Part of the reason more research needs to be done is that this study focused on the boys instead of girls (girls deal with CPP much more than boys for whatever reason).

Likewise, in this study, it states:

"This treatment was largely reported to be effective, especially in patients who were diagnosed with CPP younger than 6 years of age and had received treatment, and GnRHa treatment did not seem to have a particularly adverse effect on reproductive function or bone growth."

Again, nothing mentioned of the sort that puberty blockers are harmful (though their concerns are increasing, still state blockers are, overall, effective and safe). Furthermore, they said "effective especially in patients younger than 6", which means (I assume?) that these were the patients ON puberty blockers the longest.

Lastly, in this study, it states:

"The aim of various therapeutic methods was to suppress the pituitary gonadal function, in precocious puberty also long-term administration of GnRH agonists has proved remarkably safe and effective."

So here's the pitiful reality of the situation: Even if you boys successfully banned trannies from taking puberty blockers, there would be kids out there STILL administered puberty blockers in which their specific diagnosis has NOTHING to do with their gender or them being trannies. In all 3 studies I linked, it doesn't even MENTION trannies; just the meds which tranny youth take.

This is, of course, STILL denying the several other papers I cited indicating puberty blockers are effective for trannies too. But that's what you guys do: Dismiss the evidence, post NO links, citations, or references to scientific evidence pointing to the contrary. As for the suicidality of trannies; be patient... I have a whopper incoming in due time. Just gathering the last bit of resources and fact-checking it to ensure legitimacy.

As a father to a kid, but also as a person very sensitive/friendly to the lgbt community I personally feel that my child is not equipped to make decisions like this until he is older. I know people that came out of the womb gay and people that transitioned post op after some really hard years in the late teens and early 20s to varying degrees of later success.

I do think that some comprehensive awareness and counseling/ early identification is valuable from a mental health perspective, but I have to draw the line personally at making physical modifications in youth to their body no matter how temporary they could be.

I think counseling is just as important for the family as it is the individual because societal placement / identity / acceptance is equally important to successful outcomes, not simply how someone looks.

There are many areas to be explored here such as alternative early years education for non traditional youth to minimize suicide rates etc.
