After shows like Watchmen I tend to withhold judgment until at least halfway through. Jesus people calm the fuck down.

My God, I hate that. What are they even looking at? If an S.O. of mine starts making a habit of doing that I usually try to put a kibosh on it fast.

This happens. Its especially annoying when they miss visual references / plot points and then either ask questions they would have known the answer to had they been watching OR get pissy when they misunderstand things.

I think this show would have done better if they had just told the story from a different start. They chose to release this in weekly tidbits. They then just through the audience into the story akin to the series Lost. Lost had more attraction as a mystery because nobody knew the characters. Everyone knows Wanda and Vision and so certain expectations take place as to how this should be played out. If they had just perhaps shown what led up to the worlds initially, it might have played better as a weekly series. I get the feeling that the story will look better if watched all at once, even if you cannot stand the years being represented. An example of how they could have started this would have been to show Wanda as a little girl watching the shows. Just the first 5 minutes could have helped to smooth out the apparent shock of old timer shows. That being said, the format just might not suit a lot of people. Its a different approach using what a lot of people are at least familiar with as a backdrop.

When Lost came out, were there many shows that were a "mystery"? God damn, Lost was fucking great. Insane plane crash opening scene, top dollar, ok, so they're on this island. Wait, what the fuck is that noise? Why are trees flying up in the air? Wait, why is there a polar bear? Why isn't Ethan on the manifest? What the fuck??"

Lost also poisoned the well for a lot of us. The whole fool me once shame on you kind of thing. An entire generation is now fearful of being suckered by dumbass hollywood writers AGAIN. Give it some time and the viewing audiences will be ripe for another Lindelof/Cuse raping.

Rewatch the first 2 episodes of Lost and then say that again. The pilot was full of information explaining their situation, including the plane crash that brought them to the island. Lost is not a comparable example to this show.

It’s almost like you can rewatch old episodes with more info and find hidden clues hiding in plain sight!

Kinda funny, the commercials for this got my mom to start watching the movies to know Wanda and Vision's back story. Don't think she will watch them all but enough to understand who they are.

Two questions:
First, what was the deal between Agnes and the mailman? It was weird enough to maybe be of import
Second, Who is Ralph? Agnes has mentioned her husband Ralph a few times and I have tried (and failed) to find any connection between that name and any historical mythos about the devil. If its not some obscure reference to Mephisto than who is it?

GF who only watches the MCU if I'm interested, picked up multiple clues over the first 2 episodes. Some of you idiots cannot help but ruin shit, relax and let them tell a fucking story.

Sounds like no one would have watched this unless it was MCU but because it is it gets a pass like Captain Marvel and Black Panther did. It's garbage but it's MCU garbage so it's like gourmet garbage.

I don't plan on watching this, just interpreting what people are saying here.

It may very well wind up being garbage but calling that at this point is premature.
