trailer for next week is definitely 70's
From the trailer it looked like they do homages to Brady Bunch, Family Ties, and Full House. So probably 1-2 more episodes of the sitcom stuff.

That might actually be funny, maybe the first 2 were lost on me cause I never watched WTF ever black and white sitcoms they were spoofing.

Yeah, I watched I Loved Lucy, Bewitched, Dick Van Dyke show, etc. I had no problems with the first 2 episodes personally.

I was thinking they might evolve the genre to cover sitcoms through the years. They've already gone from the 50s to the 60s in the first 2 episodes and nearly into the 70s with the colorization and Wanda wearing pants. If they do it should be pretty obvious when they get to the 70s.

It'd be interesting if they did a version of Full House for the 80s.

Weird thing, I always thought she was one of the twins but nope.

for the longest time i thought she was an older sibling of the twins, but several years back i watched some interview with her where she talked about basically being a toddler that grew up on set because of her sisters.

and then you look at pictures like this and you think... good lord those two look unhealthy. i love me some elizabeth olsen but could you imagine hanging out with all 3 of them? /shiver

Friend of mine is a huge Bewitched / I dream of Jeanie / TVLand type fan and I got him to watch this and he is now intrigued by the MCU when he disregard everything superhero until now.

This was their masterplan. They already have comic nerds locked in, they wanted to go after the untapped I Dream of Jeanie market.

They barely look related. Did mom fuck the mailman? Or do the twins have some medical condition that mimics moderate meth use? Like maybe moderate meth use.

So it looks like each episode is a decade. Ep 1 was the 50's, Ep 2 the 60's and we will have Ep 3 be the 70's. Maybe 1 or 2 more and then we get to the rest of the "storyline".

i think the hulk thing is. marvel could do a stand along hulk, but universal would get most of the money- distribution etc due to the rights.
and of course universal wouldn't give those rights up atm due to the cash cow that is the avengers, they can toss hulk in the movie, universal gets money just ...because hulk is in the movie. of course last year it was reported that both namor and hulk got folded back into marvel, so they-i believe- COULD do a stand alone hulk movie without universal, but they are doing a she-hulk "tv" series first

I'm not sure I'd recognize a difference in style between the 90's, 00's, 10's, or 20's. But they could spend a couple episodes each on the 70' and 80's and make me happy.

The reason they didnt do Hulk after the one with Ed Norton is because it performed terribly and they dont believe there was enough demand for another standalone film. Norton was also a dick to everyone and thats why they recast the role with Ruffalo.

I dont think they mind sharing money with Universal if it moves the overall franchise forward, much like they did with Spiderman, etc. The problem is that Hulk is just a shitty character to write and watch.

I stopped watching sitcoms in the 2000s, but wasnt their thing being more "on location" shooting and less "filmed in front of a live studio audience" type thing?

Because Mutant has specific connotations in Marvel comics. SW and Quicksilver also primarily have ties to the various Avengers comics and not the traditional mutant books. So they were some of the characters that fell into the grey area and both companies could use them but MCU could not refer to them as mutants.

I feel like excluding the word mutant ended up working in the MCU's favour. It's so tied in to the X-men movies that introducing the concept to the MCU would've just felt like a rehashing of themes we've seen 100 times already.

Oh that's easy. In the 90's there would be black jokes, in the 00's there would be gay jokes, and by the 10s all the leads be be black and in the 20s they are all queer.

Okay here is how deep some of this shit goes
The Date on the calendar marked with a heart was Aug 23
which is 8- 23 to us in the US...but Wanda is European so to her it would be 23 8
Avengers 238 is the issue Vision is re-activated after being "killed" in the comics.

I see this as more as you all needing instant gratification and not willing to wait for the show to evolve. There are enough hints and stuff in the show to let you know something fucky is going on. Those hints including that even people in the real world don't know what is happening.
Right, so it's the viewer's fault. Got it.

So how long before all this theorycrafting the Easter eggs turns into another True Detective S1?
