This issue is becoming even more of a farce. Pelosi says she won't press house Democrats to support Obama on Syria, that its a free vote.

This is looking like at least 350 no votes, I doesn't even seem like Obama wants to win approval on this issue.

If by lately you mean over a decade ago, sure. I think I ripped that idea from Zechs Marquise of Gundam Wing though. IIRC, he was butthurt over the idea of Gundams without pilots being used to kill people, and that this would progress to a state of permanent and total war because those that have Gundams are insulated from conflicts. We seem to be constantly intervening overseas, and now our warfare has progressed to drones. Why shouldn't we just always be at war with those that can't return the favor? I'm sure this thought has crossed the minds of pro-imperialist think tanks.

Those people in congress represent us, and if they're going to decide to kill a bunch of people then we should each be personally committed to that decision through the length of the war.
